That’s why it didn’t work out :what:

how far you think he actually would've gotten if Vince was still in charge?

July 25, 2022 is when Triple H took over creative.

Here’s a detailed timeline of Austin Theory’s U.S. Championship reigns in WWE:

🏆 First Reign

🏆 Second Reign

So Theory had his longest title reign when Triple H was in charge, not Vince. I don't know if he would've gotten much further even if Vince was there. He not on the same level as Roman or Seth or Cody or even vets like Punk and Cena or big size Vince type of guys like Gunther or Priest or Drew, or have the crowd charisma like a Jey or Sami. He may have been floundering in that midcard scene for all we know. Could he be a main event guy one day? Possibly, but I doubt there would've been much difference no matter who the booker was.

I was one of those brehs who thought it was fine him cashing in on a mid card champion was ok because he realistically had no chance at Roman

They could’ve just did it but made him look good in defeat so in the future they could’ve used that as fuel for a championship run

He’s the most weirdest case right

Looks like a Vince guy

But is actually a Indy work rate HHH guy

Combine that with his age he should absolutely be a main event guy right now

Actually he would fit right in with Seth right now & he could stand on his on

Yeah, HHH is the one who brought him in so you know he at least likes him and sees something in him.

It kinda reminds me of the story Prichard told about how Vince would bury people because of how hard Heyman would push for them back in the 2000s.

Guilty by association.
