fukk are you talking about? Shane has done quite well for himself outside of the WWE, on the flip side look at what has happened since Steph and Hunter have taken over. Even though it was a scripted segment there was a lot of truth in it. I said it in the Shane thread and i'll say it here, Shane was the one who made the Tyson & Mayweather deals happen. Those were 2 huge mainstream storylines and Steph & Hunter haven't done anything close to that.

Funny you mention the XFL because there was an article talking about how the NFL has actually adopted some of the things the XFL did.

McMahon has always been great in the wrestling business. Every other juncture is a out and out failure. The movies, the bodybuilding crap, trying to buy his wife a Senate seat, the XFL, all of it.

People refuse to listen to this. His ideas inside of the XFL were great the problem was attempting to male a different league. NOBODY will ever compete or become an alternative to the NFL, the fans won't allow it.

That wasn't the only issue, McMahon wouldn't allow XFL to be it's own entity without WWF involvement. I remember when the XFL debut night and the Rock came out to do in-gimmick promo and my dad was like really now lol. Nobody took the XFL seriously as a result besides the mediocre product.
