He can't shoot in a league full of stretch 4s and he's too small to play full time center. His max value is to the team he's on. Any bad team that would be desperate enough to pay him has young bigs they just took in the lottery.

The qualifying offer from Cleveland expired tonight and can no longer be signed

He's still a restricted free agent and basically under Cleveland’s control for a minimum of two seasons

His options are to sign an offer sheet with another team that has capspace(which Cavs will almost certainly match), sign a contract with Cleveland or sit out

In the unlikely situation he sits out, he would just be a RFA again next summer

He basically threw away all his leverage

How the hell ain't he startin somewhere

cuz he was garbo in kc and garbo at ny.

plus he retired due to mad concussions. I think he already knows he gonna have those cte problems later on. I think he got out too late.
