My brother in law posted some more video on snap chat today. He was driving and half the street was flooded but folks were still driving through the water. He says his job is 15 minutes away but it now takes him an hour and a half to get to work and 2 hours to get home.

They need to widen and elevate one or two of the arterials that crosses Buffalo Bayou west of 610 so there would at least be a couple of more routes when this sort of event occurs (the only two routes now are about 15-20 miles apart) but unfortunately nothing but rich cacs live that way so it's not going to happen.
