Those MC's you just named have no problem rapping on southern beats that bang in clubs. Troy ave will never be on that level because he wants to attempt to bring back that early 2000's sound. The dude hasn't even went gold yet but he feels he can speak on Kendrick? HA!. Just another bitter new yorker.

He released independent and is still independent. So all of that is null.

Breh is grinding hard and got the game buzzing whether you like him or not, and he doesn't even have label money backing him.

if you've never heard dude speak, watch this interview in its entirety and let the brehs know what you think.

I can't enjoy his music, I guess I'm one of the weirdos he's always talking about.

he comes off as a prick and I've seen a few interviews of his where he's used a few analogies that left me :ohlawd:

Seems like there's no one around him with an worthwhile reasoning skills to help him understand how ignorant he is at times.

:manny:

That's the New York arrogance:manny:

Idk if you ever been to New York but that's how your average nikka acts out here.

He's not polished for big time like say a asap, yea, but he makes good street music that isn't overly gritty.

I'll check this later but I did hear his two Breakfast Club interviews.

Pay attention to the 2nd one. He's clearly wisened up, and check his mindstate in the second one. He's smarter and passionate about bringing a movement and off that alone I can respect him.

His music is cool, but his singles knock

None of those guys are selling records. And trap music is becoming more and more irrelevant everywhere. The future of rap is weirdo rap. Middle class black people are creating their lane and not just worshiping street n199as anymore. Ignorant guys like Troy who glorify selling poison to the community and call law abiding black men weirdos are not going to cut it anymore.

Since when has thug rap EVER sold?:what: With the exception to 50 Cent thug rap has never seen a seller. Matter fact even with 50 Cent he had to push the 21 Questions and Candy Shop to stay on top.

Pop rap is what sells. Pop rap. And it happens that in this era hipster rap is that pop rap.

Thug rap has never sold. But the fact is that the backbone of hiphop is street rap. Street music. Mixtapes.

That's what Troy ave represents. Bringing that street rap scene back to New York.

Trap rap is not dead. Idk what suburb you from but in real life nikkas bump trap. As popular Kendrick is I can count on one hand the times I've heard it played in the street.

I first heard him pon Dirty Martini with Prodigy and liked the song but didn't expect him to be around for long. It seems like his internet team is pushing him hard around here lately and I'm fine with that, New York the Album is dope.

I was playing some old 50 pre-massacre and I realized he bit the fukk out of 50...that whole "I didn't listen to noones music when making my album" is bullshyt to the 10th degree

He isn't the "One" and it's PLENTY of other cats right now making better music

He is playing the Game very well and I salute that aspect...but is he locked in for longevity? time will tell

Flow = C+
Lyrics = C
Everything Else? = C
