This isnt Freestyle Fridays who cares, or even checks for battling, its about the music. Its about the music and Troy ave is buzzing harder than any of these other new nikkas.
You talking PR and distribution as if that isnt corporate logistics. Since when has ANY unsigned artist done that?Artists grow organically by flooding the streets with music, doing interviews and features, and on top hes financing videos for his songs catering to the modern social media era. What more do you want from him?
As for calling kendrick a weirdo. He did what alot of street rap purists do, they drop a line on whats trending who isnt in line with the streets. Just like other rappers have called nikkas out on that autotune, have called nikkas out on that signing on tracks, that snap music, and all that heavy drug usage rap.
Final point, bottom line, kendrick is a 'weirdo', hes part of a new age artsy/hipster subgenre of rap. Troy ave brought attention to the fact that that type of music is not the backbone of rap music.

your both wrong, troy ave has an EXCELLENT publicist or management or team behind him, because at the end of the day dudes will sit and discuss Troy Ave. Wether he is wack or he is dope in your opinion you actually know and discusss him online... AND DUDE HAS NO REAL BUZZ. No hate on bro, i respect his hustle, but point blank like i said before, Chinx Drugz is an unsigned mixtape dude who has a current hit in rotation and tearing up nyc 'feelings', folks are talking about Troy Ave like he is someone on the rise, yet he has NO BUZZ in NYC compared to Chinx Drugz, who isnt even on anyones radar online. Someone said he is opening up for Chinx Drugz at shows I dont know if thats real, but as far as actual popularity in NYC goes it makes complete sense. When you have an unsigned dude, with no hits, is getting more attention and spins than dudes with legitimate local hits thats a sign they got good management/publicist...
