East hasn't topped the New York City album with any of his projects yet IMO...
I think Ave has better concepts, hooks, picks better beats. East is the better lyricist but he gets overrated due to Nas co-sign and is overall vocally lacking. His voice is good I just find his flow repetitive he seems to yell a lot in the booth. Both make good music though. I see nikkas in here saying Troy is wack, he's really not that bad at all and makes pretty good music overall. I personally think Troy has a lot of dope songs...like on some deadass shyt how could you say tracks like these are bad hip hop music.
He don't get more play than Troy in the city he signed to Nas and has more online/blog coverage because he on Mass Appeal.
Bytches love that She Belongs To The Game song in NYC and All About The Money was a hot street record in NYC that got steady play at clubs, parties, whips, etc.

I fukk with both, like I said East is the better rapper if we talking bars. I feel like Ave can really craft songs though like I said I dig his hooks, concepts and beats more. I've been critical of East's delivery/flow not really his voice as have other users on this site.
Who is Troy copying? 50 and Troy don't rhyme alike, Troy has a very different distinctive voice and his own set of ad libs and themes/stories in his music. His flow is on some 50/Mase shyt at times other than that I don't see it.
Dave does have that Meek Mill, fast, yelling style. He needs to slow it down sometimes but he makes better music than Troy currently and is easily the better rapper. Troy just makes catchier, radio friendly music.
When I say people fukk with Dave I'm talking about love. He's not beefing with anyone and Fab and D Block collab with him. Everyone says he's next up. He can unify the city unlike Troy. His stock is still rising while Troy's is stagnant.
He's actually doing shows overseas unlike Troy.
You can't hear the 50 influence? Even the shyt talking at the end of the new mixtape intro... but especially on his early mixtape and She Belongs To The Game is some 2016 Puffy and Mase rebirth.
Like I said before, Troy Ave is hit or miss to me. The last mixtape I really enjoyed from him was BSB Vol. 4. That shyt was on rotation for days and it's crazy cause I didn't like the mixtapes he did before and after that lmao. He got one with the White Christmas 3 though
