It's because ppl don't wanna really work hardTrucking/logistics field seems like a steady(albeit not easy) way to make a very decent income.....
And for people who are always on this board saying they hate corporate america, value independence and "are about the bag" I am surprised at a lot of the responses.
While it may not be for everybody it certainly may offer a lot better money than what a lot of people currently make under bosses they hate...
It has its pros and cons like any other job..take the income earned...buy some land, a house, rental property and invest in the next phase of your life post trucking

You won't do 2500 miles every week for one..
The 200 hours with the trainer succs ass.
You're living in his trucc with him over the road for 4-6 weeks
The diet succs too
But I think Atlanta has dedicated routes so you cab be home most days

I've become more interested in it, I live not too far from SAV and the expanded port and the Panama Canal means a bunch of those jobs are starting to open up.Working in the supply chain industry my whole career in, you are 100% accurate. I've tried to get some of my childhood homies on game that are skrugglin but they don't wanna listen. Even one of my good childhood homies who does it been trying to tell nikkaz this for years. LOTS of paper to be made but no wants to do it.
Can you explain a little bit of the process breh?@BrothaZay
I just got the call from swift. Start the academy Monday. They said they're going to put me in a hotel??? I don't need it, I can drive there. So idk..
She said I'll be driving ~2500 miles a week. Only make like $800 - 1100 a week to start.
Did you get paid for training?... when did you actually start getting paid?...
I forgot to ask.
