Thanks for the tag, otherwise I might have missed this! Good for him, turning his life around and aiming to help others turn their lives around. We know knowledge is power.

I like his story because he will be able to reach those students in a different way than a person who hasn't been in trouble with the law. I think we tend to identify, therefore feel more comfortable with and would take instruction better from someone who is "like" us.

More power to this man, and I hope for much success for him and the students. This is an example of black excellence. He's trying, using action to make a change instead of just talking about it. I applaud that! Walk that walk.

he's an amazing smart man.
felons cant get financial aid because they are felons and then because they have no money to educate themselves they go bakk to old habits.
the reason the government wanted it like that.

he's a great man helping legal working felons get college classes.
