Will be interesting. I wouldn't be mad if either won
Normally I'd say BB deserves it and TD will have it's time, but considering this cast is never coming back
What say you, @hexagram23
before it's even announced "BB" won:

Oh and one more thing I need to clarify.
This isn't "series vs series". They only nominate 1 episode for each category. So for Best Actor McConaughey would probably submit "Form And Void" for his break down at the end of the series. Which on the one hand is a great choice....but the critics won't see his transformation from '95 Rust to Crash to '02 Rust to '12 Rust. So his epic transformation will be lost on the judges....which is obviously a huge strike against his chances of winning.
For Best Drama "True Detective" will most likely go with "Who Goes There" aka the 6 minute tracking shot. They'd be nuts not to.
Cranston for Best Actor will most likely go with "Ozymandias" for obvious reasons....and for Best Drama go with "Ozymandias". They could submit "Ozymandias" across the board really.
Fred.
If HBO submits "Form and Void" for McConaGAWD, then they might as well kiss that emmy goodbye. Jon Hamm has a better chance of winning for "In Care Of."
head and shoulders above the rest of the series.I guarantee he'll submit that. He kinda has to, it's the only episode where his acting ishead and shoulders above the rest of the series.
so you honestly believe that other actors, directors, writers are all in on this lie??True Detective is cool but what is it about that show that has nikkas overrating it like that. I mean it's just gotten out of hand. Anytime a show lets a group of nerds start playing armchair detective like they did with LOST, all of a sudden you have all these asinine theories popping up and people holding all of these deep conversations and speculating about the overall outcome. Then the shyt turns out not to be anywhere close to what they were yapping about. Despite that, the fact that the show did let them play Spurlock Holmes for a couple of months, now it's the best show on TV and ".....the writing is just sooooooo transcendent....." Man take that shyt elsewhere. I wouldn't put it past the Emmy's to jump on this True Detective bandwagon and start handing awards to McConaowhehwslhoweveryouspellhisname.

Therein lies the dilemma. McConaughey's entire performance is hinged on his transformation, which the judges won't see. And IMO Cranston's performance in "Ozymandias" is, at the very least, as good as "Form And Void", if not better.

For most series categories, any six episodes that originally aired during the eligibility period must be submitted (programs that were cancelled before airing their sixth episode are thus ineligible). For most individual achievement categories, only one episode is required to be submitted; if an episode is a two-parter, both parts may be included on the submitted DVD.[3]
Ballots to select the nominations are sent to Academy members in June. For most categories, members from each of the branches vote to determine the nominees only in their respective categories. All members can however vote for nominations in the best program categories. The final voting to determine the winners is held in August, and is done by judging panels. In June, the Academy solicits volunteers among its active members to serve on these panels. All active members may serve on the program panels; otherwise they are restricted to those categories within their own branch.
