yeah I was shocked before when it first got real poppin

AOL days were too spread out
but after that... you would just go to a woman page

and boom ... she's the one setting the shyt up
and mad if you dont follow through ASAP
That is quite literally a whole ass role reversal vs what we have now :wow:

Crazy how shyt can change in just a few years

If we had social media back then, a lot shyt people did would be haunting them today.

Like all these young people getting yolked up by their twitter history.
That's a good point. A lot of people run around saying how much fukkery there is now but could that just be bias because we see and hear about the fukkery more due to social media? Was there possibly MORE fukkery in the 80s and 90s than now but we just don't know about it because everyone didn't have a camera and an easily accessible way to tell their stories to a large audience?

Social media is just another tool to manipulate the weak minds of an entire generation of people who lack personality, especially the younger ones.

None of this surprises me, everything was written long ago. Loneliness and desolation are the final nails in humanity’s coffin, people don’t even realize they are marching leaps and bounds toward their own destruction as they smile at their phones.

83 baby, we started getting internet at home in high school, so we were the last generation to have a non internet childhood (up to puberty)

Absolutely it's a blessing
‘83 :salute:We really had best of both worlds, growing up OUTSIDE……then also having the EARLY internet to merge us with future generations/tech. Wouldn’t change my birth year for anything

nothing was better than coming home, throwing ur backpack down and going outside to play with ur friends
you came home for 3 things, water, bathroom and before the street lights came on

now days, kids barely go outside
they are indoors and online

From what I've heard and missed out on being born a few years too late was that being online when social media first started was easy p*ssy. Apparently dating sites and messaging women on Facebook and ig before like 2013 women were much easier

Must've been nice

Yep. Myspace too.

It was easier to get the number and get to actual dating back then. Women weren't nearly as gassed up as it is now.

Absolutely man, me and my boys talked about this before, we truly had the best of both worlds, because we didn't skip a beat and still don't with the technology etc, but I bet we all got cousins or uncles just a few years older than us but more similar to our parents than us....we were truly a transition generation
