are we really going to act like the ascent of 2012-2015 didn't exist? and that they didn't become an all time team in 15/16? ignore trajectories and back to back GREAT years for clicks, brehs

edit: overachieved means doing more than you were supposed to, those teams that have that one great year/playoff run (i.e. the magic in the 09 finals), you can't overachieve when you've shown years of consistent growth and getting better.
Stop it. They went from 46 and 51 wins, getting bumped in the first or second round to 67 wins and a title. :stopitslime:

Curry was a superstar, Klay was a high level All star that complimented the team perfectly. Dray is an All Star that also fit his role perfectly. On top of that you had a 6 man in Iggy who was a former All-Star himself and they had one of the best benches in the league. If you think they overachieved do you think the Pierce/KG/Allen Celtics overachieved as well? They were essentially a younger, in their prime and better shooting version of that team.

EDIT: And Harrison Barnes who isn't the All-Star we'd thought but as a 3rd/4th option fits well into that role. Currently averaging 18-19 on 47% shooting and 35% from 3.

also, not sure how you overachieve with a 2-time MVP on your team. distinctly remember a convo on another board years ago when the question was asked "could steph lead the league in scoring" and a lot of us said yes, but this was back in 12-13. about 3 years later he avg 30ppg. those are league leading numbers whether he got the scoring title or not. the point is, a lot of people knew that if Steph could get healthy he was going to be a top player and if the Warriors as a whole got healthy, they would be a contender. Everyone knew they did well when they drafted Barnes and Green but Dray turning out to be such a big time player just accelerated their rise by another year or two.

OP youre forgetting how good the Warriors looked when KD was injured last year. They are dominant with or without him it just looks different.
