When y'all label albums as classic, is it strictly your own opinion, or do you take some critical reception into account? When is strictly based on your preference, that's how you get players like Brandon Miller saying Paul George is his GOAT when at no point was Paul George ever in those convos.
Gotta be their own opinion because threads like this be having cats name off like 6 albums and shyt lol

Nas and it ain't close...he had 4 classics before age 30

Then he still dropped 4 classics from age 38-50...he's in a league of his own

Yeezy def got more classic albums than Jigga tho, but y'all not ready for that convo

Dude, there's a reason the "one hot album every 10 year average" line hit so hard. :comeon:

Before "Stillmatic", most folks thought Nas' discography outside of "Illmatic" was trash.

Then, he went on to have a meh discography until the KD & Magic records, which are okay.

I'm not going to say they're classics, tho.

They're not gonna make most "100 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All-Time" lists.

They're just okay for modern day Hip-Hop records.

At least 4 of Kanye's first 5 records are going on every "100 Greatest" list. :yeshrug:

Illmatic is a classic
It Was Written is a classic
Stillmatic is a classic
Lost Tapes is a classic
Life Is Good is a classic
KD2 is a classic
Magic is a classic
KD3 is a classic

I'll give Magic 3 some more time but Nas clearly has the greatest discography in hip hop

Ridiculous.

Just say you're a Nas fan & leave it at that.

Classic means songs/albums that everybody knows and are popular & influential

90% of those albums aint have no real hits or lasting impact on Hip-Hop. :heh:

I can't walk down no street in most hoods in America & ask them about most of what you named.

Nas has done quality work, but "classic" is a whole nother bar, G.
