I'm reluctant to even give Kante 1 classic, this talk of him having 5 or 6 and even being in the same stratosphere as Nas is some bizzaro world shyt.
He's a looney toon MAGA fool, but he's got a couple classics man. Late Registration is a classic, and I think Dark Fantasy is too. I wouldn't argue with anyone that wanted to say Dropout or Graduation were either. Graduation and 808s Heartbreak are some of the most impactful albums of the 2000's.

There's lots of worse albums than his big 4 (Registration/Graduation/Fantasy/Dropout) hat are called classics. I don't personally love 808s, but it might be the most impactful on the game out of them all to be honest.

I disagree, but then again I clearly have a different relationship with the word classic than a lot of people on here do, in both directions.

For some it's just about impact, some it's about purity, strictly few and far between. for a lot, it's some real loose booty shyt thrown around in description of any and everything they like.

I don't think ANY rapper has 5-6 "classic" albums, even when someone said that about Nas, my forehead balled up. For people with large bodies of work, 3, at most 4 landmark albums is about where it stops and just because they're important in the context of that artist doesn't mean they all of a sudden blossom into 'classic' territory.

Gucci Mane could beat Rakim in a versuz...that's not really a metric of greatness.
aii then, who comes close to kanyes first 5 albums?

outta my head, i can only think of Pac with MATW, AEOM and 7DT

not every classic is on the same level, people naming Life is Good in here but its not near kanyes albums

i admit i am a bit biased tho :yeshrug:
