Nas infamously faltered in between "Illmatic" & "Stillmatic", which is why Jay called him on it.

Though I will say "It Was Written" has risen in stature over the past decade or so.

I'll give Nas "Illmatic", "It Was Written", & "Stillmatic" with "Lost Tapes" "Life Is Good" & "King's Disease" being good albums.

Kanye, I'll give "College Dropout", "Late Registration", "Graduation", "808s & Heartbreaks", & "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" as legit classics that shaped Hip-Hop.
