These nikkas really were conflating there love for this garbage ass style as a reflection of their overall status and worth as a person, hence the "elitist" and "purist" label they was given.

I remember all the drugged out white dudes were all about this kind of shyt. Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, Non Phixion, Army of the Pharaohs, and Cage. Some of it was actually pretty good.
