A lot of black folks who moved to some of these outter burbs that accept section 8 is done for honestly , because without section 8 that rent will be hell

If u are elderly or disabled then I truly understand keeping it open for them,,, but then again they need someone there to take care of them..

But I literally seen a lot of neighborhoods go down hill by the lazy single mom and her boyfriend she sneaks in with section 8

Breh, when I first moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2003, the mother of my 1st 2 sons found a newly built townhome complex in the Blacklick section. I'm talkin' NICE. The area was still somewhat being developed at that time. The fact that they accepted section 8, I was like "won't be nice for long"

Although I’m not a fan of seeing women on section 8 for years, forcing people off with a time limit isn’t really the move

You got women with multiple kids(5+ under 18). Just kicking them off is asking for disaster as 2 years will be difficult to get a stable/affordable living arrangement in today’s society. Not enough time to go to schools/trade etc & be a primary care taker.

Unless you have a set plan for them to accomplish these things in the two years(meaning you’ll help pay for these things etc)

Yep. Ppl take for granted how good they have it getting over on the system by not having to work, but can physically work, that they don't give a damn about the property or the upkeep. You started caring a whole lot more when you are paying actual rent/mortgage.

Cleveland is one of the cities that suffered the most and it hurt it economically as well.

I know a fully functional adult that's been on section 8 and food stamps for 20 years! with 4 kids and 3 baby daddies and no intention to do better.

While I do think it should be on a case but case basis NOBODY should be allowed to be on govt assistance that long

Most of my extended family on my mom side in the 90s was living like that
