Trump Administration to seek race data on Universities that get funding. The amount of Blacks that attend these Universities will determine funding.

Not at all. I'm well aware that this will effect us negatively, unfortunately. What I'm trying to point out is that bp are willing to temporarily lose some rights if that means the hangers-on lose rights too. We recently discovered that, for the most part, they're dead weight.

Do I personally think this is the best plan? Idk. :francis:

The fukking mental gymnastics! :dead:

This isn't MY point, it's the point of the group. According to the votes, FBA either stayed home or voted for Trump in such a way that the Dems were deprived of their regular base.

Black communities across the country have been vocally anti- immigrant, both in the past and in the current era, Not surprisingly, we're also against the Ivies' preference for black immigrants. Since the colleges and universities in question seem gung ho on this course of action, the problem will naturally have to be solved at a higher level.

:yeshrug:I don't know what to tell you. Is this a weird convergence of goals? Idk.

My own opinion: bp feel like we make this shyt shake. We're very comfortable with the idea of fighting solely for ourselves in the near future.
So your thesis is: Dems lost the election on issues that many Blacks feel they weren't paying attention too, with immigration being one of them. Based on this, any higher level institution with a high level of immigrants, legal or illegal, 1st or 2nd generation, are none of our concerned because “xyz”. Ok great.

1. In the realm of immigration, the Trump Administration already has legislation trying to discourage these types of immigrants, and foreign students, with tighter visa restrictions, social media checks, travel bans etc. That box is checked.

2. Based on the above, this current policy is clearly not about immigration. Its about race. Clearly stated in the article.

And since its about race it going to affect Blacks, AA or non-AA alike. Your ideal of “let it burn” is just ignorant to this fact. Burning my my neighborhood down because the Oyemis moved in isnt a win. Both of us are without houses now.

shyt is pathetic. Majority of people at these elite schools are already white. They think the less than 10% of black undergrads at these universities are way too much and would rather it be 0%-1%. :francis:
I think many of you are missing the point entirely. These actions are not directed out of fear of more upwardly mobile well éducated black people. It’s about consolidating the support of a minority white base with adjacent latino and asians around a singular black target.

Ahmaad Fulton, also a sophomore at Penn and member of Descendants of Afro-Americans at Penn (DAAP), a student-led group, asked, “Just thinking about the amount of African Americans that will be let in next year or the following years to come, is the percentage going to decrease? That’s the biggest concern.”

Camille Zubrinsky Charles, professor of sociology at Penn, said Fulton’s concern is a legitimate one.

Charles co-wrote a 2007 study that disaggregated the ancestral breakdown of Black students at highly selective universities. The researchers found that 41% of Black students at four Ivy League colleges surveyed (Columbia, Yale, Princeton and Penn) were children of foreign-born parents, hailing primarily from sub-Saharan African and Caribbean nations. These first- and second-generation Black Americans were overrepresented in the Ivy League, given that at the time they made up 13% of the Black population at large.

“First- and second-generation Black immigrants have been overrepresented on selective college campuses, and that trend has continued,” Charles said.

There has been no recent comparable research on the lineage of Black undergraduate students in the Ivy League, Charles said. It is unclear, beyond anecdotal observations from those who spoke with NBC News, that first- and second-generation students are indeed overrepresented on these campuses. But since the 2007 study took place, Black migration to the U.S., overall, has increased. First- and second-generation Black Americans now make up 21% of the Black population, according to a 2022 report by the Pew Research Center.

Many students shared frustration that their schools did not have metrics for the portion of the Black undergraduate population that traces its roots to American slavery. The lack of data, they said, made it difficult to articulate how invisible they feel...

An uncertain future

Brooks, who is a co-chair of the Descendants of Afro-Americans at Penn, said she is worried that the affirmative action ruling may put the future of the club in peril, due to potentially fewer members.

“It’s a scary reality that once we leave, it may no longer be here,” Brooks said. A similar multigenerational Black student club that predated DAAP disappeared after the pandemic, leaving behind little information about who its members were. She fears a similar fate could await her organization, given that it is already hard to recruit members from the small Black American student population.

Twenty five years ago, when I was an undergrad at an Ivy, it felt like 50-50. Can't imagine what it is now.

Yall not gon like it, but I'm sure the majority of FBA agree: if it's not benefitting us, burn it down. Since everybody's being selfish, we've largely decided to do the same.
Lmao, the colis female Clarence Thomas :mjlol: .

Half the african continent is travel banned and the rest needs to make a 15.000 dollar deposit to get a visa. That alone is going to ensure that the number of african students at US Universities is going to drop significantly. This right here in combination with defunding HBCUs is clearly designed to prevent African Americans from access to University education.

When Republicans reintroduce Jim Crow on a federal level and relegate black people to the back of the bus, all you clowns will do is complain that you have to share your seats with Africans.

"I don't want to drink out of the same water fountains as cacs anyway and me not getting access to white restaurants means black business is going to thrive. The lynchings are a bit of a nuisance, but they're mostly hanging tethers, so they don't really affect us."

They been eliminated the African student whose parents aren't loaded over 15 years ago. Now they are coming for the Caribbeans with the 15k deposit.

Zero blacks in government & zero funding of blacks for higher education. Let's not forget that they control the trades & unions which don't like negroes
They are really driving to eliminate Blacks as a collective from higher society and we got nikkas fighting with each other instead of against the enemy.

Stats been showing that blacks were being screwed since Obeezy was in office

Obama came into office during the height of the great recession. As a vulnerable group, black people were more affected by the economic crisis. Unlike Trump, Obama did not implement policies designed to negatively affect black people.
