It shouldn't matter at all who your sleeping with as long as it's a consenting adult and doesn't interfere with your responsibility in the unit. Don't Ask, Don't tell didn't make sense to me when I was serving. I knew plenty of squared away gay Marines and Sailors when I served who did their jobs.

Transgender troops can be a problem for mental and physical reasons. No matter what a man who becomes a woman through a sex change is still a man genetically and biologically and vise versa. For the most part women cannot endure what men can endure physically and mentally in boot camp/basic training. There is a reason why PT standards are different for men and women. If you have a woman become a man through a sex change she still won't be able to handles the rigours of boot camp since she's still genetically a woman. If a man becomes a woman through a sex change he's still biologically a man and will therefore have an advantage over female recruits in boot camp.

And even more tying to the slippery slope. If a female is allowed to take testosterone the female will now outperform all of the females who identify as women. In sports that would be considered using performance enhancing drugs even if performance was not the reason you decided to take it.

We just had a Navy military training brief about transgender acceptance not too long ago.

I work on a joint base and they've been pushing transgender training a lot this year.

If you have PTSD they will put in your packet for a medical discharge. Rape has nothing to do with mental health. We do not say someone has bad mental health if they are a criminal. The military processes recruits base on the fact if they have any mental disorders. Being Transgender is a mental disordered called gender dysphoria. I mean they wont even let you join the military if you have a flat foot with out getting some sort of wavier.

You cant equate doing a crime to having a mental illness. When you rape someone you aren't sent to a mental hospital because you have a "mental illness to rape" instead you are sent to jail because the act of committing rape is not a mental illness it is an act that is against the law.
