What u mean the bullshyt about the migrant crisis. I’m a Chicago breh. Southside. Bronzeville. Downtown around Harold Washington library, Hyde park, Morgan stop on the green line in west loop were full of Venezuelans standing around.
Lotta my new neighbors were migrants

I can't find the main thread but one that hipped me to the bullshyt was "Democrats running job fairs for illegals" or something to the effect by Phillip Scott. The story was twisted into some Chicago Dem hiring spree when the truth was the event was hosted by a Catholic Charity (funny enough that was associated with a middle school I went to so I intimately knew the charity and the church attached) for a Middle Eastern Refugee that for years hosted job training events all over the USA for asylum seekers, residents, and refugees. The other claim was that the migrants were ONLY being put in Southside black neighborhoods. That was not at all true: the problem was those neighborhoods could not absorb them, get resources, and then not explain why it couldn't do the same for residents there. I'm on the North side and frequently travel to the Southside as far as Bronzeville, but usually as far as Englewood. The migrants were everywhere. They were not getting super-debit cards, lavish lodgings, etc. They were shacked up in places like the Woodlawn school, park district fieldhouses, police station floors and the outdoor grounds, or straight up on the street. A minority of them going decent, long-term housing.
Long story short: Non-Chicago people were making shyt up about exactly what was going on to the point of straight ducktales. The point is Pearl is right to challenge the news you are putting on here about DC. Just like everybody was right to question the thread saying illegals were getting reparations, and another thread saying they were getting 0 money down, no payment loans in California (forgot the city).
