capitalism or lesizz faire, has never demanded or argued for tarrifs. Never argued for the state to manage businesses, never argued for debasement of currency to fund future spending (actual inflation), hasn't argued against free trade (back to nationalist tariffs).

Trump really has an economic view close to mercantilism, which is what psuedo or quasi capitalists like Adam Smith were arguing against with The Wealth of Nations. I can provide you some very good history of economic books if you would like.
