Undocumented immigrants are already barred from getting federal housing subsidies. But they’re allowed to live in public housing if at least one person in their household is a citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylum seeker.

i said that no undocumented household should reside in taxpayer funded housing while citizens wait on a list
you cant argue with that statement. so you get emotional and call names, doing anything but admit that new york democrats are taking a trash position

I’ll wait
yes i did, and it was wrong.

put them at the back of the line, behind families comprised of citizens. what's your issue with that, shill? So you want to do what what with the wives, husbands, and or children that are citizens?

That isn’t the premise of the article. It’s to put the people with one undocumented family member on the street.put them at the back of the line, behind families comprised of citizens. what's your issue with that, shill?
who says they have to live on the street? are the 200 thousand families behind them on the street? That isn’t the premise of the article. It’s to put the people with one undocumented family member on the street.

so you're saying people who are here undocumented compete with citizens for housingIf they’re living in subsidized housing the answer is sadly probably yes. They’re probably made up of a mix of living situations that are too complicated to breakdown on my time. Just because you’re on a waitlist doesn’t necessarily make you homeless. It’s usually homeless > shelter> supportive housing/nycha.
The homeless population you can google along with the shelter population. It isn’t 200,000 families. NYC also has a lot of older housing programs like SROs and cluster sites they’re trying to eliminate.
The article you shared doesn’t even bother answering these questions btw. So what’s that tell you?

freeing up their housing for citizens behind them on the waiting list, who apparently are waiting because its their best option. was i unclear about that? What part of putting citizens who have an undocumented family member on the street appeals to you?
