@MPaarlberg
I think the Trump admin assumed no one would try to find out who the people on the boats they blew up really were
[Quoted tweet]
I was in Venezuela this week to document the response to a U.S. military buildup— the U.S. has bombed boats and Maduro says the real goal is regime change.
What do Venezuelans say about possible U.S. military action in their country?

"Fisherman"

@MattAHay
Did she happen to identify what they were fishing for and why they needed $120k worth of outboard motors on a $3,000 vessel? I am hard pressed to think of a catch with schools that just so happen to also be fast enough to out run Coast Guard Cutters.
4/37
@literaryeric
No, they correctly assumed no Americans they cared about would care.
5/37
@drodvik52
Why aren’t these murders being investigated?
6/37
@fridgeintern
Nobody poor would lie for their benefit.
7/37
@MatthewLowin
Bold of you to assume Venezuelan drug dealers tell their wives that they are Venezuelan drug dealers
8/37
@StaffordGW
So exactly how many times have you ever seen anyone fishing in a quad engine cigar boat? I will hang up and listen.
9/37
@Gulfexplorer1
Oh yeah, lots of Venezuelan fishing boats with quad 300hp outboards.
"One born every minute."
10/37
@Rust_And_Decay
Venezuelan Fisherman don’t have million dollar quad engine cigar boats. The narcos pay fishers in that community to run drugs. No one fishes 60 miles off coast going full speed. What they do is transfer drugs to cargo ships to be carried into the islands for distribution
11/37
@JimTBreakout
Dumbass's "fishing boat".
12/37
@jsz0
My sources say otherwise.
In an interview an X user named UptownDonkey who identified himself as the best friend of one of the dead man said that his friend was a drug smuggler with four children who left one day for work and never came back.
Fun game huh?

@WildYeeCoyote

@ShallowStateOp
As a humble high school chemistry teacher who's been unfairly targeted by the government, I'm appalled.
15/37
@C4CEO
Go around a prison asking who's guilty, and you'll find out that they're all full of totally innocent people!
16/37
@MikemanCommeth
You don't put 1,000 HP worth of outboards on a "fishing boat" and run for Trinidad and Tobago, simp.
17/37
@briprice661
So you telling me this person was fishing all the way out in the fukking ocean with a speed boat?
18/37
@karlykingsley
I don’t think they view other people as people
19/37
@whitepowderenth
Yeah I’d probably have to lie to my wife too if I started running drugs…
20/37
@BK_McCallum
I'm sure lots of smugglers lie to their wives, assuming she's being genuine.
21/37
@JustaCi54400863
A "fisherman" in a fast boat loaded with drugs - yeah please think of the children
22/37
@Bayne_roe
It shows who you choose to believe and by extension who you side with
You are siding with the illegal drug trafficking cartels of course they have wives and children but that sob story does not change the fact that they are trafficking drugs across international waters
23/37
@ArtisaneSC2
So, what proof does she have that he was on that boat, and not simply just lost at sea?
24/37
@putinisapedo999
I think you believe bullshyt too easily. That boat had 4 brand new high powered outboard motors worth more than $200k
Nice “fishing boat”
25/37
@GrumpyGrigs
He probably WAS a fisherman... most days... who happened to run drugs THAT day.
26/37
@THATCH_ARISES
I think it was inevitable the cartels would start claiming this. Just like Hamas claims everyone who died in Gaza was a 6 yr old orphan.
27/37
@NY_LBSS
They fish a lot on speed boats?
28/37
@fuller_sean
Either way it was lawless and impeachable, plain and simple
29/37
@pabloteyobigbro
Right, because drug dealers definitely don't make up a cover story to tell their families while they go do nefarious deeds...
30/37
@DianaVilliers1
Because that woman would have NO reason to lie if in fact her husband was a gang member and drug smuggler
31/37
@Saintsing79
Lol. Next level retarded propaganda to try and gaslight people into thinking a speed boat with 4 outboard engines snd no fishing gear is some sort of peasant fishing boat. What did you think the widow would say "yeah he went out to run drugs and just never came back." Lol. How can you be that dumb?
32/37
@craftsmanwrench
Wow I can probably find a “news story” with almost that exact wording coming out of Iran or Iraq or Libya…because everyone knows those Venezuelan fisherman have high speed boats and take their kids along for the ride…
33/37
@Joshua04284976
Yes, because every smuggler tells their wife and kids “I’m not a fisherman, I smuggle drugs for the cartels.”
I know this is difficult to understand, but criminals rarely tell people they are criminals…
34/37
@BMonnete
I voted for exactly this!
I hope they start hitting the Indian and Chinese ships carrying fentanyl precursors next.
35/37
@TimPorary2
“Hey honey, the cocaine was really biting today! Caught a boatload of it!”
36/37
@WokeBeagle
Wow, and Vance was claiming they were all cartel members.
37/37
@theoriginalspy
How has this extrajudicial killing not resulted in charges?!
