It's not a "power vacuum", It's a shift of alliance. Turks were always in Northern Syria, even before the US.

Power vacuum does not mean "the side I like is going to lose".
There won't be any power vacuum since the US will immediately be replaced by either Turkey or the Syrian army.

Neither of these are going to be true. :francis:

Give me a clear answer, not this diplomatic/twiter bla bla.

My prediction was clear: Kurds are going to side with Assad or they are going to get pushed back to the mountains by Turks and/or their allies. You say it won't happen. Tell me what is going to happen if the US leaves.

You previously said they were going to side with Turkey.

The uncertainty over what happens in that region is exactly why I'm referring to it as a potential power vacuum.

The only power vacuum is if the Kurds actually put up a fight and find an outside ally. Otherwise what @African Peasant is saying will happen. There aren’t many options in their situation and no magical IS uprising is going to occur in their territory.

I never said the Kurds were going to side with Turkey :stopitslime:. I said the US were going to be replaced by Turkey, in the territory the US was present. And this is what Erdogan and Trump seem to be planning according to the tweet you've posted.

We've reached a point where we are defending and supporting undeclared wars...:mjcry:
:whoa::hubie: There's no we. I'd like to leave responsibility and not add to the bloodshed or have a whole people slaughtered. That's it. I'm sure the entire US military can accomplish at least that much. :hamster:

do you really think that its a good idea to abandon our allies or pull out of an conflict without warning anyone, all to appease to your base? what sort of message does that send? and what about the consequences of such actions? you and your dear leader can miss me with the bullshyt.
