i mean, when i go to a car mechanic, i get a fukkin written quote. and i refuse to pay them more

so why are we not doing the same thing with these contracts :what: why do we LET them go over? it sounds like thats pretty much what he said

and look, im not buying into this as some huge win for the country, its probably barely true. but its hardly anything to criticize :yeshrug:
they go over because they can end up having to do things that were not in the original plan in order to make it all work.
your car is different. you're not getting a car MADE for you. you're just getting it fixed. meaning you need an oil change. well we know what that and that alone costs. but let them change the oil and do you a solid and give you a transmission flush. you will have to pay for both the oil change and the flush. the question isnt how much it costs. the question is, did you need that flush too? if the answer is yes. they charged you appropriately.

I hope he uses it for "good" and calls out tax dodgers like Apple, GE, Google etc.

LHM lost 2% of their company's value in after hour trading today.
They're going to get it back.

This is what manipulating the market for personal game looks like.

Gov contracts are easy to bloat. My pops does research for the Navy and he'll sometimes tell me how they always agree to anything he asks for.

Government officials don't usually have expertise, they just pay for the product and so it can be easy to deceive them, or pressure them etc. And in a capitalistic society, holes get exploited rather quickly.

The one thing I fear is that he's gone to be too extreme with regards to being economically open. I feel he's gone to undo some important environmental safeguards cause "its cheaper for business activity", when its there to protect health. Companies will never protect the environment without an incentive or government regulationm

Im all for job creation and economic activity, but when you have some of the folks you have in your cabinet advising, then a lot of important protections for the environment and health may be upended.

Still have to call bad policy when you see it.
Still better than rewarding Corrupt Hillary.

well i think we can agree that when it comes to the government spending taxpayers' money, this happens a lot :comeon:

of course getting work done on my engine is a simple comparison

What taxes did Google, Apple ever dodge in the U.S ?

Unless you are talking about E.U. ?

what an incredible president and leader, only Trump could've pulled this off, we are truly blessed to have him in office, I'm sure all the money he's saving us will trickle down eventually.
