What are you disputing? I'm not saying I agree with what Trump said, but in terms of the economic impact, I've been seeing there are about 80,000 Somali's living in Minnesota and pay a combined roughly $75 mil/year? Most people in Minnesota are paying a far higher effective tax rate that that of the average Somalian "tax payer".
Again, it's possible for people to think Trump is a jerk and recognize that there is substantial fraud here. The same people that can't acknowledge those facts are the same that claimed the border was secure under Biden and believe there are as many genders as dollars that Minnesota was defrauded by in this scheme.

Im disputing the specific claim he made that 88 percent are on welfare. Its an invented figure and surely it should matter if this is all about facts?
Fact is Somalis arrived as asylum seekers in the 90s and their trajectory is very similar to older refugee groups including in Minnesota itself (look at where the Hmong were in early 2000s and they got there in the 80s). Income rates are growing, rates of educational attainment are growing fast, and there are (and will continue to be) substantial increases in income in second and third generations.
Those scamming should be held accountable ( and are). But this idea that this Trump media blitz is motivated by good governance and care for public funds is laughable.
Again Trump and his family are personally earning more in corrupt deals trading off his office than the scale of scandal as a whole. These dealings generate a yawn from the overnight antifraud crusaders.
