So what were the “positive” aspects of it?
Funny how they never go to the Holocaust Museum and talk about how “negative” and “depressing” that period was…that part of history can NEVER be forgotten. But slavery? (Because it was white people perpetuating it) nah forget that. Why yall always talking about and bringing that stuff up?
Crackers and crackers like him always want to gloss over or sweep those evil deeds right under the rug. Slavery was horrible. But it took “savages” to actually do things like that to other human beings, who were innocent nonetheless

Well, I think you're both right in a way.
However, even if a white person with a non-racist past said it, it still wouldn't have been appropriate either. I feel like Black people should be the only ones saying and determining who's Black based on “such and such” reasons.
No white person, racist or not, should be speaking on who's Black and who isn't, even if the point being made poises a legitimate discussion, such as Biden's statements about Trump, which, in theory, were legitimate, due to the optics of what a Trump presidency would mean for Black people moving forward, as what we're witnessing now, but he's not the one who should be pointing out those observations.
That's like if a white person is blabbering on about what Black people or Black communities need to do “this and that”, etc. Their opinion is void; it doesn't hold any weight since they're not Black and can't relate to such experience or aspects that matter; in other words, it doesn't concern them.

Stuff like this is part of the reason why we need to fight for reparations. They are actively trying to get rid of all of this history so you won't have a point of reference to even recall (specifically for younger folks). They doing the same thing with all the data and statistics keepers like the BLS woman they just fired.
