In 2008 Obama bailed out banks by giving them billions of dollars of taxpayers money when they needed "help" (cough*cough** they failed). They then used those billions dollars of taxpayers money to give themselves bonuses while cutting their costs by laying off taxpayers.
17 years later nikkas in here complaining about receiving money (that came from them in the first place) bc they're so addicted to twerking for certain politicians? Its really pathetic at this point how easily fooled the same people who think they're so enlightened when telling people who to or not vote for are.
Wrong. The left are the only ones actually complaining about defense spending. Republicans only pretend to be anti-war as a wedge issue since Russia invaded it's neighbors. But in reality, they are the most gungho about the military, and obstruct any efforts to audit the pentagon and reduce spending in any meaningful way.
Also, the bailouts began under Bush (he signed the TARP). Obama didn't become president until January 2009.
It's like, fukking Christ, half the battle is giving you morons history lessons because you can't even remember who was president a decade ago.
By the way, the companies we bailed out REPAID THOSE LOANS, WITH INTEREST.
Can we say the same is true for the PPP loans Trump handed out? No. The program was rife with fraud, including from businesses with ties to rightwing members of Congress. No worries though, their loans were of course forgiven, while other small business owners faced jail time for their participation in abusing the system.
And another thing. We know the overwhelming bulk of tax revenue comes from people who make like half a million dollars a year. That's practically no one on this website, so lets stop with the "giving you back your money" BS. What we pay into will cover our old age insurance, and medicare/medicaid if we need it. Anything after that, the average person is taking from the system more than they're contributing to it, so let's stop the delusion okay?
