This man has damn near become a religion to many people in Middle America despite whatever ties he's broken. Plus, many Republicans are just anti-Democrats anyway and will vote for any Republican on the ballot as long as they can defeat Democrats.
Democrats can't afford to be complacent and think that Trump is shooting himself in the foot. Hell, Trump's loss in 2020 was somewhat aided by the uncertainty of the pandemic and the George Floyd protests. It's unlikely that anything of that scale of uncertainty will occur in 2024 so Democrats have to be strategic and play hard because, despite what you read about Republicans "abandoning" Trump, he still has tons of people ready to vote for him as President.

Gavin is an unknown. You always take the known over the unknown in a presidential election. And he has some liberal/leftist policies like his immigration policies that could turn off voters at the national level.
Yeah you just need to run political ads of his policies and the shyt he's said 24/7 in swing races. A lot of swing voters are not down with his right wing culture war bullshyt. Republicans would do good to nominate a moderate like Romney but they won't.

If you think kamala is remotely competent you are an idiot. She was literally the worst candidate in the primaries. She has been gifted all her positions. She was gifted the state AG position, she was gifted the senate seat. If she ran in a primary pretty much any other Dem running would beat her badly. From a political perspective she is a great vice president, the GOP won't even attempt to impeach Biden (besides the fact they don't even have a legit reason to) because she is so bad. Only ways she sees the presidency is if Biden dies.
