Giuliani and Gingrich are smart enough to know they are toxic...they been around too lon and theyll hurt his message of change..i seriously doubt they are included unless its something like Ambassadorships

HA. As if Giuliani and Gingrich are that selfless. Politicians don't stump for a presidential candidate unless there's something meaningful in it for them. An ambassadorship would be a punishment. It's saying, "Thanks for helping me get elected, now gtfo out of the United States to some far-flung diplomatic post." They don't want that.

Ok..then I'm wrong.... Doubt it though. It's been less than a week, nothing substantial besides the first steps in setting up a transition team has occured. I would be more interested in seeing who is on the transition team to actually advise on cabinet positions. I think I heard they kicked New Jersey's governor out and gave the leaderhip of transition team to Pence.

Ruby who?? :patrice:

News from The Associated Press

For Trump, who ran on a pledge to "drain the swamp" of Washington insiders, the transition team is strikingly heavy on those with long political resumes.

In addition, three of Trump's adult children - Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka - are on the transition executive committee, along with Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband. Kushner was an influential adviser in Trump's campaign.

As Proof of Corrupt Regime to Come, Trump Adds Pam Bondi to Transition Team

What was that about cronyism and nepotism? Bribed Pam Bondi into dropping the Trump U case, and now she's on his transition team. :russ:

Congressman Lou Barletta
Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi
Congressman Chris Collins
Jared Kushner
Congressman Tom Marino
Rebekah Mercer
Steven Mnuchin
Congressman Devin Nunes
Anthony Scaramucci
Peter Thiel
Donald Trump Jr.
Eric Trump

Chris Christie, Rudy "stop-and-frisk" Giuliani, and Michael T. Flynn will serve as vice chairs of the transition team. Rick Dearborn, the chief of staff to Jeff Sessions, will help run the transition office, and Vice President-elect Mike Pence has been appointed to the role of transition chairman.

Jeffrey Eisenach, a consultant who has worked for years on behalf of Verizon and other telecommunications clients, is the head of the team that is helping to pick staff members at the Federal Communications Commission.

Michael Catanzaro, a lobbyist whose clients include Devon Energy and Encana Oil and Gas, holds the “energy independence” portfolio.

Michael Torrey, a lobbyist who runs a firm that has earned millions of dollars helping food industry players such as the American Beverage Association and the dairy giant Dean Foods, is helping set up the new team at the Department of Agriculture.

Mr. Trump was swept to power in large part by white working-class voters who responded to his vow to restore the voices of forgotten people, ones drowned out by big business and Wall Street. But in his transition to power, some of the most prominent voices will be those of advisers who come from the same industries for which they are being asked to help set the regulatory groundwork.

Uncertain grounds
Im becoming a little concerned..i take solace in the fact that he chose pence..pence is horrible but i mean in the sense that there were almost no rumors surrounding him. All the rumors surrounded christie, carson and gingrich as vp..just as they are now with cabinet positions. There will be some surprises.

I dont want Giuliani as AD. I dont want stop and frisk. I dont mind Newt all that much.

The reporting is that Christie got replaced with Pence on the transitional team because Christie was advocating for some never-Trump people on the team. That eliminates a lot of neocons which is a good thing

Hurting his message doesn't matter anymore, he got the election

As long as he doesn't break the law he can appoint whoever the hell he wants. What can we do about it? Our ability to decide ended on the 8th

He has to fill around 4000 spots within 2 months and many of those positions need knowledge and experience...Odds are some will be filled by people who have worked in previous administrations

People outside the beltway dont know but the mid level bureaucrats are the people who run the administration and you cant replace them all because nobody else knows how to do what they do...the best Trump can do is set the tone that he wont tolerate corruption and incompetence .
