From 2013-2019 was a kick in the balls every year. 2020 was cool but it wasn’t a full season win. The hard times make the break through so much more sweet.
Lakers and Dodgers both won their championship titles in the 2020 COVID bubble playoffs with empty stadiums/arenas and no crowds/fans at the games. Even though they won I guess it was bittersweet for LA sports fans because 2020 was an outlier season due to Covid lockdowns and other Covid restrictions. What makes deep and long playoff runs special and exciting is the buzz around the team and atmosphere in the city among the fans. Seeing all the diehard fans, contrarians, fairweathers, bandwagoners, and non sports fans coming together in real time to support the local teams. And Covid robbed LA fans of enjoying playoff runs in normal situations. I bet last year WS title was cherished more by dodgers fans unlike the 2020 one.

It was because we had a parade and shut all those a$$holes up about not winning it in a compete season.

I embrace the 2020 titles because if any other team won their fans would accept it, too. Those titles have a special place in history for what happened to the world. Plus the Lakers winning in the same year the other GOAT, Kobe, passed away was surreal. :mjcry:
