Unless you have it with other programs like Nexus and Global Entry, etc there is no reason to pay for TSA Precheck on its own.

It may be worth it if you frequently travel.
Now standard lines no longer have to take their shoes off. Some airports with updated scanning machines don't require you to take your laptop out of your bag or your liquids. Honestly the waiting times in standard lines are not what they used to be since the update in efficient technology.

So really what do you get with Precheck today? You don't have to go through a full body scanner and get to keep your belt and jacket on. That's pretty much it. Not worth it.

Some rare times the TSA PC line is longer than the standard line.

It really depends on the airport in my own experience. At monster airports like LAX you gonna be waiting long at TSA no matter what because there's just hella people at all times. At my home airport, the precheck lines are significantly shorter and faster than normal security.

One reason I like the precheck lines is that most travelers in that line generally knows what they're doing because they travel by air with some level of frequency. So less people are lollygagging or trying to argue with TSA about something silly.

In the regular lines you get too many people that act like they've never been in an airport before (and maybe they haven't, there's a first time for everbody), little kids acting up, people daydreaming, asking too many questions, not following instructions. I see it a lot when I travel abroad where there's no Precheck and everyone is in the same line. Straight chaos sometimes.

TSA Precheck is like $14 a year breh when you spread the cost over the 5 yrs
That less than some sandwiches at the airport 7-11 :dead:
I have Global Entry which is DEF worth it but even when I just had precheck skipping them long as lines is clutch. it changed the whole way I prep for the airport since it cut the time I had to leave in like half

I love TSA precheck, I hate those long lines. And when you are Precheck, they search your bag way less than if you were not

90% of the time I think you’re right. I rarely have had to wait much when going thru regular security going like 5 years now

But good luck getting people to drop that status symbol. I don’t know how the whites talk about it but my goodness black folk especially women will mention their pre check like it’s a section at a club. It’s deeply psychological

ATL to MEM
This depends entirely on which airports you frequent. If you are only flying out of small airports like Memphis, Harrisburg or Grand Rapids then you are right, its a slightly quicker line.

But if you are going through Orlando, Atlanta, etc then that shyt can save you an hour easy.
