Apathy’s a Tragedy & Boredom is a Crime
I was looking forward to this one, since TSC seems to have a
opinion towards him.
I'm going overall 9, I was a big mark for him for a long time though he's not one of my GOATs. The TLC/Ladder matches were big parts of my childhood and his Rated R run was fun to watch as a teen. His last year was trash. On a separate note, I think his career largely benefitted from being there at the right place at the right time. I don't say that as a knock, but like the perfect era for Edge to debut in was the Attitude era. He was a tall dude with a certain presence, but he didn't have a lot to him at that point besides athleticism and a few cool things. Any other time, he'd get exposed the first time he has to work 10 or so minutes but in 1998-9, he could be in some 3-5 minute sprints, then he lucks into a tag team run AND THEN lucks into being around some of the all time greats in 2002-3 and by the time he's finally on his own properly in like 2004, 2005, he's developed enough to actually handle himself, and then his career skyrockets from there, largely from the Matt Hardy/Lita love triangle. I think he was capable in the ring, but without a gimmick his matches didn't always stand out. He wasn't like a top tier mic worker but he did have some good promos. I'm sure people will feel I overrated him but

literally shocked at the Edge hate. i would have never thought he had people who didnt like him. i see some bias in here. That Orton thread gonna be LEGENDARY for the fukkery

) WWE championship runs only two or three of them are notable. He was just given the belt after awhile and it became ridiculous, wasn't it an injury bug to other stars why he kept winning it?
Wrestling wise he was mid. He kinda reminds me of The Miz, great on the mic, overachieved with a trash moveset.
