goldbergs streak is overrated.. 90% squash matches isnt impressive. And he wasnt as versatile as WCW tried to make him out to be

The truth about Goldberg is that he profited most from the wrestling boom, because all my friends in HS who just started to like wrestling loved him, and anyone who was a fan pre nwo/attitude era thought he was garbage.

His act got over with people who didn't know shyt about pro wrestling, like you said, beating job guys for months in a row did nothing for longtime fans

Barret is trash, he always has been. This BNB shyt is getting over in England only (hence the post raw mania crowd)

He'll fizzle out like he always has.

It's funny how people hype up Barrett for his mic skills but don't talk about his average ring work but people all of a sudden don't like Mr. Kennedy even though he fits that same profile.

-Stopped watching after WM 17, missed the Ruthless Aggression era. Started watching again when Orton was heating up on Smackdown, Edge Cashing on Cena and around the Time Eddie passed.

-As a youngin, I got confused between Sting and Warrior because WCW wasnt prominent in my area.Remember my Uncle putting me on Nitro, first one I watched was when Scott Hall came thru with the Sleeveless Jean Jacket

-Lost babies to Terri Runnels(marlene), Lita,Trish, Dawn Marie,Francine, Sunny and Sable. use to go ham on wrestling forums to find pics and when WWE divas website first popped up :feedme:

-Never been to a live show, regretted it when I was watching Seattle get so Live for the Hometown Kid

-Speaking of D Bry,who is clearly the best worker and most over in the E, his pandering after getting non-stop whooping jumping up and down yelling Yes the same night he gets screwed out of the title just doesnt make Sense.

-I use to rock with Miz briefly when he was sonning Cena but thats where it stopped.

-Use to have the cable box scramblers to get ppvs for free

-HBK been that dude.

- I love every incarnation and he can do no wrong by me but Undertaker's overall best work was done as Big Evil during the ruthless aggression era I feel.

- I'm only upset he didn't make the move in 2001 because I feel Sting woulda fit nicely in the Heyman led smackdown six era

- I liked the Boogeyman character

- DDP made a more or less 1980's baby face gimmick work in the late 90's. That shyt is amazing.

- I've hit many wrestling moves in "fights" when I was a bouncer. Rock bottom, clothesline from hell, Spears etc it became a running joke amongst us bouncers and we'd try hitting finishers on people during big melees to amuse each other :manny:

- aforementioned fukkery went awry once, got caught in the middle of breaking up a chick fight and tried a cross face chickenwing on what I thought was a big ass pear shaped dude, mind you I was 240 solid at the time and I got scooped up by what was not a dude but rather was this big ass Rebel Wilson looking female and ended up on my back after she pretty much back body dropped me, scrambling like hell to get out from under this monster, she was strong as fukk it took three of us NFL linebacker sized mofos to get her outta there :damn: never tried the chickenwing again after that in clubs. Still got old bouncer buddies that tease me about it to this day

- did the Steveweiser double beer thing back in the day as my first ever sip of alchohol, Budweiser is disgusting and it's why I don't and won't drink beer to this day.

- Nailed Hollywood Hogan with a hotdog during the end of this Nitro

before we had to Usain Bolt outta the arena because everyone was throwing shyt at that point it looked like a giant food fight

Back in the 5th grade I was the XFL biggest hype man. I shytted on NFL teams any time it came into talks on the playground.

"The Carolina Panthers wouldn't be able to hang with them XFL boys. They'd get stomped" :troll:

I even rocked the XFL cap...

In reality...I never watched a XFL game in my life :heh:

John Morrison vs Sheamus TLC is an underrated match
I would have liked to see a Corporate Punk heel run
I had a thing for Ivory during her Right to Censor run
The Shield already has a 2-disc "Best of" DVD set and they're only a year and a half old :banderas:
Ryback, not Orton, should've been on the team that gave the Shield their 1st L on SD
The part timers coming back for WM is a relatively new phenomenon and its delaying the inevitable dip in business due to neglecting the current roster
ADR was a good face until he feuded with Swagger, also ADR vs Ziggler after Payback was a missed opportunity
Even though the Authority did right by Daniel Bryan, it could've been a bigger deal by having more upcoming heels firmly establish themselves with the Authority while newer faces fight on, in fact all of WM30 could've been a authority vs anti-authority theme
I don't want Reigns, or whoever becomes the Guy, to fail
Characters is what WWE needs right now so bring on the Rose, Rusev, Fandango, 3MB, etc. Give them something to do instead of fight the same people every week and it would help the roster greatly
I've been deflated watching WWE lately because of the terrible circumstances surrounding Bryan
Triple H stuck out like a sore thumb in the Kliq like one of these things is not like the others :heh:
Mark Henry should've won the WWE title last year he was on fire those three weeks, however it would've fukked up Bryan's run
When I was a kid HBK struck me as swagged out while Rick Rude was "girly". Go figure.
Bret and Rick Rude are wrestlers who I didn't get or outright hated when i was young who I appreciate now
I think Undertaker retiring would leave a hole in WM, i would've liked to see Bray vs Taker

I wish Vince was back on TV. Edit: where can I buy a box of the ice cream bars? That's all I used to get from the ice cream truck.

Always felt Jim Neidhart was a nonfactor

cringe at most indy finishers because they mostly land on the head and neck ares.

CZW shouldnt be considered wrestling

RIP to him..but Pillman wouldve been fine if listened to the Drs and officials. and fukk whoever let him wrestle in the condition his ankle was in

Not a confession, but Punk shouldn't have cut his hair. Or at least, he should have let it grow back after having his head shaved.

Confessions:
I wasn't totally in "wrestling is fake" mode when WCW was bought, so I really thought WCW/ECW was gonna end up wrecking WWF. Hell, I wanted them to.

I watched WCW to the bitter end, and liked it. Scott Steiner going ham and destroying everybody with the lead pipe was :pacspit:and :whew: to me.

Lance Storm in WCW was piff. Good matches, a gimmick that pissed most people off, and christening the U.S. title (my favorite championship) as the Canadian Heavyweight Championship... Elix Skipper did his thing too as the high flying heel cruiserweight.

I marked for The Brian Kendrick, before he got jobbed to hell for being a pothead. Didn't realize the racial connotations of him reading The Art of War vs Zeke reading Cat in the Hat at the time. And him becoming temporary champ during the Scramble had me marking the fukk out. I marked for Kennedy Kennedy's entrances, and ignored his ring work. Making him a face and giving him that uptempo theme killed it though.

Marked for Orton at one point, basically until about 2009. I still like his work in the ring to this day, and I only find him boring as a pure face. This is popular opinion though, so I guess that's not a confession either.

My first wrestling poster was a Sting poster I won at a carnival in '98.

I wish WWE ran in smaller arenas, and cut down on some of their over polished production values. The video editing and great camerawork should remain, but wrestling IMO should be presented with more "grit". ROH circa 2004-2008 had the perfect mix of characters and grit for me. At the very least, dim the fukking lighting.

I also sincerely wish wrestling and wrestling fans weren't associated with basement dwelling man-children who think everything is real and bytch and complain about every single thing. It's insane to to me that a product that has been airing on prime time TV weekly for 21 years, and has been on TV basically since the inception of television, has such a stigma around it. If you watch wrestling past a certain age you're looked upon as a person who hasn't grown up, because it's "fake", scripted to hell, and ultimately doesn't matter. Funny enough, that describes the vast majority of things that make it on the airwaves. Wrestling, to me, is a great mixture of scripted events and athletic feats, and while it shouldn't be profiled or recapped on Sportscenter (per se), the action in the ring is very real. Being a wrestling fan as an adult constitutes a lot of back talking, and qualifying statements, to make it acceptable to persons outside of the fandom. shyt is ridiculous. This is also not a confession, more of a mini rant.

I don't get involved in "greatest wrestler ever" arguments simply because it's a very subjective thing, and there isn't anything that can truly make or break your argument. HBK is my favorite wrestler ever, but if you talk to a Puro mark (for instance) they'll tell you about a Japanese guy you've never heard of, or watched, who dropped his opponents on his head and did some innovative move. You'll have someone else toss out Ric Flair's 16 World title reigns, or Stone Cold running shyt at the height of the Attitude Era, or John Cena carrying WWE through a downturn in business... it's all so subjective. Title reigns are a nice barometer of achievement, but when everything is scripted for your entertainment, who can really declare a "best of all time" or GOAT? It comes down to who YOU liked at a certain time, everything else be damned.

With that said, I do enjoy reading a compelling argument for or against a wrestler, because everything is open to interpretation from one point of view or another.

Lastly, I love the dissension Bryan Danielson brings into wrestling debates. On one side, you have guys who believe that BD should go over the entire world twice, and on the other side, you've got guys who can't buy into a 5'7" dude kicking so much ass and being the best in the world. It brings out the mark in everybody, and that's what wrestling should be for the fandom. MARKING. fukk being a smark. Just enjoy the show for what it is and what's presented to you. Mark and Smark should die as terminology outside of wrestling locker rooms.
