WCW Monday Nitro 12/20/99
Jesus Christ I had blocked out/drank out the memories of how fukking horrible 12/20/99 Nitro was. Very possibly the worst Nitro in history. It's the night after Starrcade where Piper reenacted the Montreal Screwjob to help Bret retain his title. The story throughout Nitro is that Piper SHOOT screwed Goldberg due to a deal he made with Russo. However, the show itself explains that Piper is pissed that he was WRITTEN to SHOOT screw Goldberg, and he ends up literally breaking the 4th wall as he tears apart The Powers That Be's office, which we find has been a set the entire time. Kevin Nash comes out and calls Russo and Bret pieces of shyt, and talking about how the office doesn't give a shyt about da boys in da back.
Piper then comes out and quits, after talking about how he's a REAL fighter and no one wants to see the shyt Russo is writing like guys being forced to fake lose for real but for fake...then Bret comes out, says he doesn't want the piece of trash title, then goes to the back to tell Russo to shove it up his ass (also calling him a piece of shyt a few times). Russo redid the screw job as a favor to Bret, because he knew Bret thought Russo had something to do with Montreal. Piper (who brought his kid with him like a p*ssy) heads to the back to tell the youngsters to form a union.
So Bret and Goldberg have a rematch for the now vacant title. Mind you, Bret has at least 2 concussions (he clearly concussed himself doing the ring post figure four before Goldberg even kicked him), a torn muscle in his neck, and possibly a torn groin. A few minutes in, there is a ref bump. The Outsiders come out and attack Goldberg with bats. Bret joins in. Piper runs out to cover Goldberg's body, and the ref wakes up to count the fall, so Roddy Piper won the match between Bret and Goldberg. Double J comes out and...this whole thing was just a set up for the NWO.
Russo wrote a show based around him writing a SHOOT worked shoot. It was fukking miserable. Pretty sure it was the last time they ever let him book a show alone, too. Also on this show was Chuck Zito, who had previously appeared on Nitro as himself, now portraying the role of Tony Marinara's mob boss father. And another intergender match. And a separate worked shoot between Buff and DDP where Buff said he'd jizz all over Kim if she wasn't married. And some ninja beating up Virgil.
It's an absolutely miserable show.

Piper botched the fukk out that ending , he came out too late. The ref started counting the pin on Goldber with Piper on top of him while Nash and Hall looked at Piper like wtf are you doing. Bret looked at the ref like wtf are YOU doing?

I swear they made DDP look like a total fool in 2001-2002. I always wanted to see his battle with the Rock on whos the real Peoples champion. Instead they had him stalking Taker's horsefaced wife(which made no sense because his bytch was badder) and have him get buried into oblivion

I'm in March of 2000 and this main event match is so bad with so much
I don't know if I can watch the next episode. Luger flair vs hogan and henning and then sting and vampiro come out. The lights went out and vampiro comes out first and it makes you appreciaite Vince and the Undertaker so much more.
