When Stone Cold came back in 2000, and you saw THIS CLIP right here. When someone talked back to him like that without backing down and no fear and then straightening him out to end the segment? You knew Austin wasn't just returning as the #1 guy in the game anymore. It was obvious anyway with the kind of year the Rock had and the records he broke and all the shows he sold out but I didn't really focus on those details back then, I just knew Austin wasn't gonna be the sole #1 with the way the Rock character was constructed as a face. No way.

Watching
I only somewhat noticed back then, but I thought it was pretty ":lolbron::usure:" how during the Power Trip/Hardyz feud, they gradually shuffled the Hardyz out the paint for Kane and Undertaker :mjlol:.It's like they said "alright Hardyz/Lita, that's enough exposure, we know the crowd loves you, but back to the midcard you go" lol. Jeff wouldn't elevate to the main event scene (through his own doing) until 2008/2009, and Matt until TNA:russ:

The merger is what killed WCW. Nothing more, Nothing less

nah. Nobody knew/cared about that until years later.

WCW just got bad. Too much NWO, lame booking, lame shows(like thunder), half-ass efforts while WWF was putting on classic main events..

Wcw was bad for 3 years and still was going.

Once ted turner wasn't in control anymore they were taken off TV by the new executives in charge because they did not want wrestling on their channels. Period.

man, no offense, but you're young. You don't really know what you're talking about. You're speaking on what you've heard in hindsight.

Yeah there were business issues, but NOBODY (fanwise) knew about that stuff at the time. Again, WCW went down because NWO was stale, Goldberg was played out, creative was awful and so on....and WWF was simply redhot with the Attitude era and WCW was doing pointless matches with no backstories. And Dennis Rodman, Jay Leno, sorry ass Thunder, etc. They sucked outside of maybe 1-2 segments per Nitro.

If WCW was better creatively, they would've still been making money, but since they weren't, it became bad business

Okay, dude. TNA has been garbage and died years ago, yet it is still on TV. It's still a zombie promotion. WCW stayed open but it was a husk as soon as Thunder started and everything fell apart. Do you understand the concept of what I'm talking about now? There is a difference between dead and off the air in this context.

Man no offense, but you're wrong. You don't know what you're talking about.

The company died the moment their television was taken away and their value plummeted nullifing Bischoff's deal and allowing the WWF to purchase the company.
