I don't know why people always use that Muta match as an example of Hogan knowing how to actually wrestle. It's like people never saw anything he did before 1986, or any of the shyt he was doing in the first year and a half in WCW. He did that shyt in like...every fukking match he had with Ric Flair in WCW. And they had 300 matches in WCW.

when you go back and watch 80s and early 90s wwf you see exactly why Hogan was Hogan and no one else was close. some of the reactions he would get were crazy.

I Can put on WM6 any time and watch it all the way thru.

THere were no 5-star matches on the card. But it was just a show that worked.

MAtter of fact, I'm gonna watch it tonight as I fall asleep

Yeah 6 is definitely one of my favorites. 7 is quite good as well. I feel like WM wasn't shyt before 6. 1 and 2 are awful, 3 only has the spectacle of the huge crowd but the matches aren't good, 4 is miserable, 5 isn't that much better. 6 finally went legit.

1 is bad
2 is maybe the worst ever, its trash
3 is a good show with bad wrestling but a big main event
4 was weird, thats all i can really say, but as a savage mark i loved the title win
5, i actually love because it has my favorite story in wrestling history and a great main event
6 was the best ever at its time, only eclipsed when 14 dropped

Most slept on match maybe ever is piper vs goldust the hollywood Lot brawl...that shyt was live as fukk, they beat each others ASS and they had that terrible incredible OJ chase simulation. Im literally gonna bring that match up now

I wanted to watch a Royal Rumble so I put on the 2001 one. Then watched Vengeance of the same year because of Jericho and I don't think I watched it the whole through since I saw it as a kid. It was pretty good. In the recap before the Austin v Angle match I saw the origin of this famous Vince gif
Vince-McMahon-distraught.gif

:russ:

Also, not breaking any news but Trish was bad as fukk. Not even really into fake ones like that but :takedat:

I think I'll watch the 02 Rumble next

3 was a great show... it wasn't packed with matches you could rank on a star system but the way the show is put together, it was a very good showcase. It's like if you wanted to know about what and who was over in the WWF during '87, WMIII was it. You have the hot new team opening (Can-Ams), you have the super-annoying manager of the time getting repeatedly embarrassed throughout the show (Jimmy Hart), one team splits up (Dream Team), then a member starts his new gimmick (Brutus), a top star wins his farewell match (at the time) and the crowd goes crazy for him, the 'heel referee' that was getting heat for months finally having to get in the ring, the epic IC title match (Steamboat/Savage), hot new heel vs. the newly turned babyface (HTM/Jake), they introduce a new babyface and starts his first feud (Duggan), then the biggest (not best) match they could've had at the time between the top two stars in the company (Hogan/Andre). It was just complete. There's a couple matches I skip, but Vince didn't put on a showcase this good again until VI.
