Nah I disagree. It was great because Foley was salty about the fans chanting for Austin when he and Funk was getting their asses kicked. So he sold out, he brought out the gimmic to spite his hardcore fans, bought false teeth and became Mchmahons puppet.
Not to mention gave Mick his main event shine.

He was a puppet as you said, no one bought him as believable enough to beat Austin. He was a stooge.

When Austin had to battle Undertaker/Kane that's when shyt got dope.
