Roman moves the second most amount of merch. And he's the second most requested talent for charity and PR stuff. You would think after 10 years of Cena that the top face getting negative reactions doesn't mean they are heels or will be turning heel would be pretty well established in the minds of WWE fans. They've been training you for a decade that this is the new normal.
At worst he's a tweener, which I can not imagine will be part of his character while feuding with 100% heel Seth Rollins.

And where's your proof on those numbers because meltz said just yesterday that house show attendance is down and you can look at the ratings and see for yourself what's happening there.

Ratings/house shows being down doesn't mean Roman isn't the 2nd most popular person they have. I'm not even sure what you're getting at with that. He's the second most popular talent in a company that has steadily been on the decline for 15 years in terms of attendance and ratings. He moves more merch than Dean Ambrose, despite Dean allegedly being more over and having more pieces of merch for sale.

People choosing to cheer HHH over him doesn't sound like someone that's popular to me
If they weren't forcing Roman to be face, Rollins would be face imo. Even as a heel he gets more cheers than Roman
Everything revolves around Roman right now. I don't even hate him like that, it's just the way it is

I don't really see the point. Crowds already cheer the heel and boo the face. Turning either won't change reactions.The portion of the audience dead set against Roman are always going to hate him, but why try to turn the portion that likes him against him, too?
If WWE sees Roman as Cena 2.0, and saw that fans loved Cena, then turned on him hard, but they stayed the course and he ended up being by far the biggest star of the past decade...why would they fukk with that formula?
All I'm saying is that the main reason they won't turn Rollins face, even though everyone loves him. Is because everything right now is done to protect Roman

It's protecting the top face spot. It could be anyone in that spot. WWE has booked their top face a pretty specific way since the 1960s, and they've really never wavered on it even when large swathes of fans were turning on their golden boy (such as what happened with Bob Backlund in New York and Philly). If it was AJ in Roman's spot, and fans for whatever reason had turned on AJ, Seth would have come back as a heel. Or Cena. Or Sheamus. Or anyone in that top face spot. That's just how the McMahon family has been doing shyt for 50+ years now.
Mid-late 80s AWA is past the point they were relevant in any way. WWE snapped up basically all of their big stars besides Bockwinkel over a few year period, so by the time they got to trying their own super shows, they had very little talent left and had to rely on JCP/WCCW to provide star power. From about 1985 on, the only guys worth a shyt were Bockwinkel (who was retiring), Curt Hennig (who would get snapped up by WWF), and the Rockers (who would get snapped up the WWF). Scott Hall had potential. Idk why Vince didn't bring him in back then instead of letting WCW get him first. Dude was MASSIVE.
As is usual, the best "AWA" matches generally happened in Japan, with Martel/Bockwinkel/Jumbo defending the title in AJPW. Mid-late 70s is usually considered the golden era for AWA, and WWE hasn't made much of that footage available over the past decade. I would say Bock had better title matches as defending champion in other territories like Memphis than in the AWA proper, but there isn't a ton of AWA footage out there to judge it properly.

Light Rant, but I was just caught up in Nostalgia today. Wrestling type trash now. I watch it cause im invested and its a good escape from life. But damn... It was better when It was just over the top nonsense.
