I don't know why people acting like Austin in 2001 didn't get no heat. Man this dude use to get MASSIVE heat as a heel. I can understand why the WWE want to overlook that whole Alliance storyline because it was a flop but cotdamn its more entertaining than the shyt I've seen for the past several years.

Def people always talk about how Austin flopped as a heel, but he was getting legit heel heat every week (far more than anyone else), and he excelled as Stunning Stone Cold Steve. His heel run was GREAT, even if the Alliance storyline was a dud. For sure Austin's best year in the WWF from an in ring stand point. By a lot. Probably entertainment value as well.

Austin is the main one who is a detractor of his heel run. But everytime with him he talks about it from a monetary/business aspect and he completely downs the entire run.

But yeah, it was entertaining for sure.

My favorite thing about Double J is that even to this day, most people don't realize his theme for his first WCW run was the instrumental track for the West Texas Rednecks' second hit single, "Good Ol' Boys". GOB was the same song tuned down with added lyrics. And most people never even realized because they gave so little fukks about Double J.

Similarly, The Maestro's theme was Mr. Wonderful's theme with just the piano track. WCW spent so much fukking money on bullshyt, yet cut as many corners as possible for music.

There was a time Pablo Escobar was invincible...well in wrestling terms, back on August 23, 2004, the Rock showed just how invincible he was in a simple "PIE EATING CONTEST" segment. The crowd control, the improvision, the one liners, the genius mannerisms...one of a kind #GKNL

Watching this Blandy promo from May 17, 2004...dude just keep doing all the Rock gestures..raising the eyebrow..smelling air...hahahaha. It was hilarious...you could FEEL that this charade was gonna end bad and BOY DID IT END BAD at Royal Rumble 2005 when everyone saw through the favoring..much like they have with Reigns these days.

EDIT: I forgot Blandy went RACIST on this promo with Shelton "YOU PEOPLE" "UPPITY" "I wouldn't SOIL MYSELF defending it against you"
