Is he running for president? :patrice:
The lane is wide open, but I doubt he wants to. He’s made millions saying whatever he wants and is rarely challenged in real time. Not sure why he'd want to accept a government salary for the pleasure of people arguing with him and fact checking him all the time.

Yall overblowing it. Fox News is highly profitable and has more than enough free cash flow to handle that settlement

Now when the rest of those settlements start piling up :patrice:

They may he looking to pivot and do a slight correction with their coverage to shed some of the bad press they've gotten with the lawsuit though.

Easier to fire the highest paid individuals to cut overhead rather than laying off hundreds or thousands of staff though

In summary fukk this clown ass cac :win:

Nah, the company itself is fine. They have plenty of cash on hand to cover the settlement. This is entirely about the fact that publicly traded companies generally avoid taking these types of Ls. No matter how they structure paying out the settlement money, this fukks with the bottom line for large shareholders of the company. Combined with the fact that there's at least one more of these cases in the way (from a larger company in Smartmatic that might actually be financially solvent enough to fukk around and entertain an actual trial), and that this next election cycle is likely going to be a minefield for them, it was time for someone to be the adult in the room and play the "No one's bigger than the company" card and get rid of him to calm some folks down.

The corruption in government will allow him to make millions more.

It's not even a morality play, though. It's really just basic Risk Management played at a high level. For all we know, most of their investors completely agree with the bullshyt he was spewing. But when you mess around with the stability of what should be an invest and forget type stock, you're a problem that needs to be dealt with immediately.
