Well maybe not treason , but when we continued to arm them by dropping "aid"to the wrong troops and bombing Syrian troops and hospitals by "accident". Then maybe it's something like treason .
So now civilian causalities in Syria is something like treason? :francis:

Okay, then what does that make Donald Trump for killing Americans in Yemen? :sas2:

@88m3 :patrice: Gabby has been on some bullshyt for the last few months and that Syria trip is sus as fukk :lupe:
Her sponsors for that trip:

Tulsi Gabbard, the self-styled “progressive” Hawaiian congresswoman makes no secret of her recent trip to Damascus to meet Bashar al-Assad. But, as an outspoken opponent of what she presents as America’s pro-terrorist foreign policy, Gabbard certainly accepted some strange companions on what her fellow lawmakers are calling a disgraceful reputation-laundering tour of a bloody dictatorship.

Gabbard, as her own office has disclosed, took her “fact-finding” trip with a delegation of two men who are affiliated with an anti-Semitic political party accused of using female suicide bombers; of beating up Western and Arab journalists; helping U.S.-designated terrorist organization Hezbollah and the U.S.-sanctioned Syrian regime wage war in the Levant.

And did we mention the party’s ideology and flag take their inspiration from Nazism?

Gabbard initially declined to say who financed her trip to Syria. However, in a press release Wednesday Gabbard revealed her delegation (which also included former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich) had been “led and sponsored by” an outfit called the Arab American Community Center for Economic and Social Services (AACCESS—Ohio). Her statement added she and the rest of the delegation had been accompanied by two men, Elie and Bassam Khawam.

Either yall have short term memories, which is understandable with all the crap we are fed digitally and literally....or some of yall are high key trolling.

In 2013, there were videos and pictures of people in military gear in protest of exactly what Gabbard is talking about. Of course, Democrats were no where to be found then...Republicans too.

Some US Troops Appear To Be Posting Photos In Protest Of Syrian Intervention

As the march to limited military intervention in Syria moves forward, some troops are making their views known - albeit anonymously - on social media.

Photos of servicemembers have apparently popped up on Reddit, seemingly in protest of Syrian intervention. (Since they are not identified, it's impossible to verify they are indeed serving in the military.)

The basic argument is that the line between moderate rebel factions and al Qaeda-affiliated ones are somewhat murky in the two-year-old civil war, so the U.S. should stay away from intervening on the rebel side (even in response to a large-scale chemical weapons attack).

The posters are essentially saying that they didn't join the military "to fight for al Qaeda in a Syrian civil war."

Interestingly, while they can have their own personal viewpoints of course, joining the military means giving up certain rights.

Specifically, the refusal to do things that your commanders want you to do (i.e. attack Syria). The oath of enlistment is pretty clear on that:

"I, [Name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend theConstitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

It's also worth noting that, while some military members may agree with the message of the photos, many don't agree with using the uniform to bolster the argument.

Here are a few more:

I get your point and her intentions.

It's a bill that as written wouldn't get traction and it wouldn't actually bring down cost.

You'd effectively swap aid for boots on the ground to fulfill the obligations we have to allies and our own self interest. This becomes even more complicated because sending a large amounts of boots on the ground in another sovereign nation can be viewed as an overt act of war.

If money is the issue you just cut foreign aid (something trump has done through his initial leaked budget proposals).

I won't get into the nuance of when rebels are considered terrorist.

You're asking why the media is not talking about a bill that won't likely get traction. I'm giving you reasons why it likely won't.

It really has nothing to do with whether I think we should fund rebels or not.
