I mean of course eminem doesnt get the same type of love. Tupac actually inspired people in a real way.

Im just talking about the sphere of "pop culture"..

Australia
bruh, people in Africa, South America, Australia, Asia etc dont know who the Beatles are :heh:

People in Australia def know who the Beatles are right up to my generation and I'm sure the kids younger than me know them even if it's only cos Ringo Starr narrated Thomas The Tank Engine for so long. You're a fool to think they were only big in "parts" of Europe andUSA.

As for this shyt about Em as Marley, when people these days don't listen to Hip Hop they probably still own some Eminem albums or at least some songs just like people who don't trip on Reggae still play I Shot The Sherif or No Woman No Cry. BUT Em isn't the embodiment of Hip Hop in the way that Marley was/is to Reggae

Disagree with that. Theirs a few more icons (biggie,jay,snoop,50) they just not as big as pac doe.

"I would disagree" *James Harden voice*... In hip hop, yes, no denying the folks u mentioned are icons.... Outside the urban world, no.... People till this day still think of Jay as "that guy with Beyonce".... Snoop is huge, but he's just not the icon Pac is.

Put it like this, what classics does Jay have outside of hip hop (not "Empire State of Mind", arguably his biggest stuff was with Beyonce as a feat. artist. And I love jay, but nothing he has can compete with "California Love", "Changes", "Dear Mama"... I'm not just talking about hip hop classics, but classics in the pop world. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, outside of hip hop, all the dude you mentioned are just artist of the moment. The second they stop making music will be the second people stop caring about them.

Not gonna seriously ponder if he's top 10...but he's definitely an icon, bonified part of Americana...I'd say he's rap's Marley...Em's rap's Elvis
