Exactly what Im saying...Pac was never lyrical but he made classic music
All Im sayin is this song is proof lyricism is the least important aspect of makin a classic rap record![]()

In one of those recently released interviews you can hear Tupac say that he was a huge fan of Sting until he wouldn't clear the sample.
Tupac's intention was to release this song and he couldn't get a clearance until after his death. This was another thing he would've grown from.
This was a huge hit that was in rotation for years, it came out with the Greatest Hits album in 1998. For many people this was the first Tupac song they heard, just because it was what they were exposed to. This was a song that transcended the genre, it's impact can't be overlooked. At the time Tupac's real fans didn't treat it as the genius piece of music that it is, instead they discredited it as "oh that's the POPULAR song"![]()

at the same time i can understand an artist who has no need for the clearance money to say fukk that and not clear the sample
i mean if you made a song, thats your work. i would want it only associated with me and nothin else
im speakin in general too, this has nothin to do with sting or pac. im just high![]()
at all you guys saying this song proves lyricism is one of the last important parts of making a classic hip hop song.at all you guys saying this song proves lyricism is one of the last important parts of making a classic hip hop song.
This song is a Lyrical masterpiece. This is one of Pac's most lyrical songs ever. If anything this song proves that 2Pac actually was a good lyricist.

Lyricism is a foolish endeavor. The reason why Tupac and Nas remain as great as they are in 2012 in the minds of real rap fans, not the complacent soft ones that remain in this day and age, is because they were poets. Rapping was easy for Tupac Shakur because he had been writing poetry since he was a kid. It was second nature to him...that's why he was able to drop so many untouchable and memorable records in such a time period that will live on as anthems worldwide. My Romanian homegirl was spitting word for word Hail Mary and I was rolling..that accent and her knowing it is just comedy to me in general.

Fallacious term..go back to TSC where u can actually outsmart ppl with ur foolishness
Not here where my Jay stannery reigns
When you say "real rap fans" you obviously have a sort of personal bias to what you consider real or fake..a bias that holds no weight.
Rap fans are rap fans at the end of the day..and Nas aint great in most rap fans..
2pac is sure cuz he died and he's pushed on us to be a legend
Now when I say most rap fans you prolly get angry and your rebuttal will be
they aint real hip hop heads..and to which I'll say..who the fck are you to say who's a real and who isnt a real rap fan based on their preferences
Some have a bias toward the technique aspect of rap
Some have a bias toward the song making aspect of rap
Some have a bias toward the mic presence aspect of rap
Some have a bias toward the flow aspect of rap
And based on those biases is how you'll choose your personal fave artist
I pick Jay for me personally cuz he's the complete package imo
Anyways like I said go back to TSC..or go back to watching your disgusting ghetto gaggers porn vids that dehumanize and devalue black women and desensitize your eyes to degrading acts such as that![]()
He says "Pushed on us" and then mentions Jay-Z.. Mr. King of NY PR golden boy
I'll say this though, I honestly believe Jay-Z's best years are ahead of him - which is more than I can say for a lot of rappers.
