Tupac would’ve fizzled out in 2003 if he didn’t get clapped

As @Wacky D mentioned Pac was just really heating up, the entire climate of Rap would have been different had he lived.
Or he mighta gone the way of Rakim, Kane, Cube...shyt every rapper not named Todd before him. We are looking at him through rose colored died in his prime glasses. It coulda gone well and he coulda been that trailblazer or it coulda went bad. Also, we cant discount acting. Unlike all Will and Ice and Ice and Latifah he was actually a trained actor.

Isn’t it well known that Pac had plans on working with Nas and One Nation to unite rappers from both coasts? But you think he would’ve fizzed out? Naw that would’ve gave him more legs into the 2000s

Hmm Mase has a sense of humor to do some stuff, but I don't think he has the charisma/or range that Pac or X had

the mase reference was only towards DMX & and it was about the poster claiming X lapped mase

How was mase more successful when x dropped two multi plat albums in one year :deadrose:

that’s why I said apples to apples. Yes, in totality there is no competition because mase left the industry early
but when you compare both debut albums mase was more successful

IDAHIH = went 4x platinum & (1) gold single
HM = went 4x platinum & (1) platinum single, (2) gold singles

nikka was there ANY sign of that happening? Where are u nikkas getting these takes from? Damn near all of PAC’s peers that was popping when he was alive was still doin they thing in the early 00s. What logical reason would there have been for PAC to fizzle out? nikka was selling multiplat records with old rhymes in 03. Lets be real here.

Im including acting too, as far as multi purpose he was just heating up, probably would still be on a 'career' run right now.

Why would there be a sign at his peak? Thats the issue that I talking about. He died at his absolute apex so its hard for some to consider that there may have been a falloff like 99.99% of artists not just rappers.

Pac had the talent and charisma to be anything from an Oscar winning actor to a politician. Music, especially rap, is just so fickle.

I hate Pac stans too but this is a wild take. :mjlol:

First of all, this nikka is not gonna “fizzle out” like some off brand bad boy artist. He would’ve had the same career as Jay, Nas, and Em where you reach a certain age when it’s time to move on to other shyt.

Pac was already an established actor and would seamlessly transition to Hollywood. And God knows what type of success he would’ve had there. He was actually a good actor not some gimmick rapper/actor. Like Oscar-level shyt.

Stupid take. Pac was still going platinum years after his death. The demand was still there for his music in 2003 and afterwards.

In the 2000s I think he would’ve became one of the biggest actors on the planet and venture off in other side businesses while still dropping music. He would’ve been a best selling author and heavy into fashion/politics/humanitarianism ….multi successful in everything he did. I think he would’ve reverted back to being the Pac pre Death Row with more wisdom, life experiences and maturity.

But we will never know unfortunately.

If he had survived he would have one lung and be unable to rap though. And possibly in a wheelchair.

But let's say he kept the lung and wasn't crippled. He almost certainly gets arrested for parole violation. That's 2-3 years in prison. He might have gotten out in 2000, at which point the rap landscape is completely different. Who does he sign with? Does he make up with Dre? I can def imagine Interscope pushing for that since getting Pac on an Eminem/Dre record would be printing money. But assuming Pac says fukk that, which seems likely...maybe he gets his own imprint or something via a major.

There are so many revolving pieces in this, I don't think it's crazy to suggest it might have been a wrap for Pac. He'd be desperate for money and likely take whatever the biggest number thrown his way was...but who knows if that would work.

Well, so was MOP. What that mean? What made Pac different is he WASNT just a thug or street ngga. With all due respect to DMX, they were NOT the same. DMX was not an intellectual. His ceiling was nowhere near Pac. Yet DMX went onto become a movie star in his sleep. That tells you al you need to know

Your bias and anti-Pac agenda is showing. Makaveli to this day doesn’t sound anything like normal rap. Beat wise and topic wise. You can’t compare white mans world to anything. The closest is Scarface. And now go look up an interview of Scarface talking about Pac. He was on his own tier

I say all that to say, Pac and Biggie (or DMX, or jay z) were shooting at different baskets. There is nothing they could have done to stop his shine bc they could not in a million years be him. Just like jay z becoming a star was on a completely parrallel track of Will smith becoming a star. Pac was that much different from them.

And that nikka stans No Limit whom took Tupac whole blueprint. You can't make this shyt up :russ:

Well 2pac had violated probation and was headed BACK to jail in September of 96 but he ended up getting killed.

Sure, the Makaveli album drops and that keeps him hot throughout the duration of 96 and 97......However he still had to go to trial again as he was out on appeal. There's no guarantee he even beats his case.

It's very likely 2pac is either in jail through the new millennium OR he truly starts to transition towards acting in the same way Will Smith, Ice Cube, Queen Latifah and others had done.

If 2pac doesn't die, Biggie likely doesn't either and you have to assume that at some point they reunite and 2pac would always be a star but maybe his attention is elsewhere (movies)
