If it's slimy that's probably cause you don't know how to properly pan fry it but honestly I like baking my bacon rather than frying.

Much easier and tastes better when baking the bacon it cooks consistently and evenly without burning the fat/meat.

I don't like burnt bacon. I like it golden brown.

I dont eat bacon that often, but turkey bacon is not as good. Only turkey substitute I'll accept is turkey sausage. Then with that its alternate between turkey or chicken. But if i'm getting bacon, I'm either getting pork or beef

Pork bacon just too good but I won't touch it because I don't eat beef or pork
