Recore was trash. The presentation of Returnal is leagues better. However, my main point remains, they have made what appears to be a well made niche game and with the dearth of pure next gen experiences currently, thus hyping this up to levels it would not get under normal circumstances. It sounds like Ikuraga, metroid and hades. Games most of y'all don't play. So, if that mixture works for you, this will likely be your jam. However, I feel most of y'all are going to buy it and be like this.

Forcing yourselves to like it while struggling to get out of the first level because these games are hard by design.

I feel like more people gonna be forcing themselves to enjoy resident evil 8 shooting werewolves with a slow reloading BB gun for 12 hours sounds unbearable to me

And at least two of out three of those games are often lauded upon on here or have been on the old boards, so I imagine most have/do play those types of games. I know I do.

I mean, i actually agree with most of what you said, already said it earlier in the other thread. A lot of people ain’t gonna like this type of game even fi it gets good reviews just like a lot of people wasn’t able to get into Demon’s Souls. It’s not gonna be for everyone.

I’m not super into roguelikes, but I loved Deadcells, Hades, Othercide...etc

One thing these previews told more than anything, is that if you ain’t built for difficult games than you should prob wait for the PS Plus drop in 2025.

Cause i know a lot of nikkas on here ain’t eeem beat the 1-2 in Demon’s souls
