The notion that Black artist's whose brand and message is African conscious, need to speak up is redundant. Currently everyone is riding on a wave of emotions and attempting to inset themselves as show of support. George Floyd's death was a public execution that associating with the opposition brands you a blatant supporter of Fascism. We have sportsmen, politicians, social media influences and celebrities who've historically supported anti-black sentiment. People who quickly chirped ALM whenever BLM was mentioned. Yet, now we are congratulating and praising them for doing what?Sending a fukking TWEET? Meanwhile the artists who are criticized have made it staple to bring black positivism and plight into the Public forums. Imagine getting mad someone is not talking about shyt they have been talking about for the last 6-7 years.
Cole was out on the street getting involved with the Protest. Denzel was using his status to protect another man's life. Are celebrities supposed to be the moral compass or leaders of society's principals? These are entertainers, people who've carefully crafted persona and sold it off. Honestly I feel I am the only person whose angry at these so called "allies". People and Groups that have been historically been racist are now being praised because what? They said words and held posters? You realize in 6 months once this cools off everything will be forgotten. George Floyd's inciting riots occurred at the perfect set of circumstances. America was in lock-down and there was nothing else to do BUT protest.

Yup. And he piggybacked off the momentum of that situation and what COLE was doing on the front lines and capitalized off it and was the media darling for TPAB. That album wouldn’t have even existed without J Cole putting him on to shyt because he was more focused on attacking rappers and being the king after Control. Kendrick never was some stand up nikka. Think about it, we barely know his opinion on anything. He spits non direct poetic mumbo jumbo but rarely gives his opinion on anything, instead he let's dumb nikkas reach into their imagination about how he might feel. So he can get credit and props without earning it and without scaring his cac fan base, by saying some real shyt.
