Twitter is now saying that Kendrick Lamar put an end to Atlanta’s run in hip hop.

Problem is their are no artist on the West Coast to take the baton from Kendrick and keep the run going, so to speak. Maybe a miracle happens and that Lefty whatever dude drops a fire album. Ok, anybody else? Most of the rappers featured on Kenny's album drop mid and the rappers that drop good music like G Perico been around for years

missed opportunity not having the actual west coast rappers that rep fly shyt and who would have broader national appeal like Blue Bucks Clan, Bino Rideaux (who’s crazy nice with the melodies and flows), etc.

both artists I mentioned would’ve ran with a co-sign like that. with folks discovering how fire their projects are.

AZ just signed a major deal and has been getting mad praise, he's hella talented. Dody6 is crazy too. Gnx actually featured super talented up and coming talents that been getting a lot of hype on the west. You may not like them, but its just your taste. The talent is there, the hype is there too.

Hip hop isn’t supporting a racist. His album already went double wood

Ironically these guys made better music with drake. They kind of ended their own careers. Rick Ross another example. He can't sell solo but he could have still been relevant with a Drake collab album.

I wonder if the recent RICO fukkery in Atlanta is the main reason we aren't seeing the next heir apparent emerge there. There was this steady period where every few years the next guy popped up, got hot in the streets and then reached the white underclass groups (white boys in cities, white hood chicks, college kids, etc) before hitting the white mainstream.

Lil Baby's reign really flopped hard after starting so promising.
