I don't think era was a huge factor for him, he's talked openly about how he never watched film and would skim the playbook/gameplans then toss them in the back of the car like junk.

But Mike Vick had no problem seeing coverages and knowing the holes. He could take a lot of snaps under center which QBs screw up today....and are afraid to turn their backs to defenses unlike Vick.

Vick was the first person to lead a team to victory at Lambeau Field in the playoffs. He had to have known something. Vick has VT videos when he's going through progression and commentators giving him props for being young and not a one read guy. Vick was one of the most efficient passers for his era.

Anybody hating on Vick wasn’t there. That being said, Lamar is far superior.

Only thing Vick got over Lamar is arm strength. And i grew up a lifelong vick fan and eagles fan

Vick had a career completion percentage of 56%! Only had TWO seasons completing 60% or better and one of them was his last year with the Jets.

I'm talking college. For his era he was efficient at VT. He was a top passer in college.

eagles mike vick gotta be one the most overated run that people pretend was elite or awesome and not just fluke that caught the league off gaurd for like 6 or 7 games and vick didn't go back to being a average injury, turnover prone qb after only like 7 out of 40 start's

Vick has 20/20 W/L record as eagle starting quarterback with 69 combined rushing/passing TD'S with 69 total (int/ fumbles) this as all with the maybe the best war chest of weapon's at the skill position's in the hole NFL (D JAX,McCoy,Maclin,Brent Celek) at the time at least top five weapons at the absolutely worst

if vick really improved his qb play on the eagles he should have had the same kind "late bloomer" 3-4 year run of early-mid 30's year old moblie qb's like rich gannon/ jeff garcia had in the early 2000s with Andy Reid and a all star team of weapons

mike vick on the eagles with a ton explosive weapons/ a all time offensive mind at head coach and being a ten year+ vet QB getting destroyed be blitzing defenses like he was a rookie or second year QB

this game pretty much ended vickamania the back end of the 2010 sesaon and exposed his inability to read defenses and processes quickly

Eagles insist Vick has good blitz awareness

Reid: Vick issues with reading the blitz over

Eagles Extras: Vick Struggles Against the Blitz (Still)

Michael Vick Vs The Blitz

Vick, Eagles struggling vs. the blitz

Michael Vick's woes: What's wrong with Philadelphia Eagles QB?

the comes the chip kelly era (vick in a rpo offence) people claim would be his ideal offence to put him in

then basically justified chip kelly making him compete with Foles with his own sorry on field play chip's first year coaching the eagles VICK had a 2/4 W/L, record 54.6 comp%, 5 TD/3INT in 6 games with a high powered up tempo quick read rpo offence that was "supposedly tailored made for his skillsets"

compared to the lead footed Nick Foles with the exact same team, the same quick read rpo offence 8/2,W/L/ record, 64,9 comp%, 27td's/2 int's

Vick: 'I am not holding the ball too long'

Vick was like the nfl QB equivalent of a 80 year old grandma behind the wheel of Bugatti

but he ran up the score and blew out a garbage redskins team on Monday night with a historically bad defense eagles vick most be G.O.A.T.🤣

the one thing with lamar jackson/ vick comparison people forget is vick is like 6'0 even on a good day a midget qb and lamar is close to 6'3 and can actully see over his offence the line

vick lack of ideal hight, little hands(ridiculous high fumble rate,) terrible film study habit's he is closer a to kyler murry then a lamer jackson

(Vick literally admitted to not watching game film while he was in Atlanta. “Mora mentioned to Vick that the Falcons used to send Vick home with DVDs of game film, and Vick admitted that he never bothered to watch them. "The DVDs would pile up in my car, Jim," Vick told his old coach.”)

Vick has 84 fumbles in 116 games. He’s averaging 0.724 fumbles per game, a rate above the average of Brett Favre (.5496), the NFL’s all-time leading fumbler. Favre has 166 fumbles in 302 games

NFL: Vick’s fumbling problem far from an isolated incident

It's because nikkas don't want to let their childhood go. You still got cats in this very thread claiming he's one of the most unstoppable players they've ever seen.

Vick had arm strength over Lamar, and faster straight line speed but that's about it. Lamar bigger, stronger and taller, throws a much more catchable ball, has far better mechanics and accuracy, can throw at all sorts of arm angles, elite processing speed, has the agility and deceleration of elite RBs like Saquon/Shady/Barry and like you stated with tons of proof can actually read defenses unlike Vick.

Vick is closer to Justin Fields than he is to Lamar. They share a lot of the same strengths and weaknesses.

SOHH ICEY N.O.
These comparisons are so stupid man. Vick play in a much tougher passing league than Lamar also. Please remember that park. nikkaz wasn’t just running wild open, they was being bumped into the ground, of the middle play, defenders was head hunting and big hits especially on qb was celebrated.

As seen by Vick missing a season due to a pre season hit, the hit stick being a counter on Madden to the micheal Vick pretty much.

With that said Lamar is better and anyone should agree. But stop hating on Vick for ushering in what later would become a system Lamar flourished in.

Vick was cooler and more iconic literally because we were kids. LJ is better and it’s only a debate amongst retarded people. Lamar has passing touch that Vick fukking would’ve dreamed of, even in his best Philly seasons

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder whether it was because we were young.

But...I also think it's that Vick had that cool factor. There was something about Vick, AI and Moss in that era that exuded cool. Even with the flaws in their games, you had to watch them.

He had Peerless Price as a number 1 in an era when it really mattered, lol. shyt if Vick had a Derrick Mason instead of Peerless Price...the falcons would have probably had a few double digit win years.

Alge Crumpler was doing well as the TE...but falcons didn't have what was needed at WR to be truly competitive for the era....it was brought up routinely by commentators of the time.

And McNabb didn't have guys at WR either....but Andy Reid worked magic and capitalized that year with TO. Now McNabb has issues with throwing dirt balls that made matters worse at times...but he had guys with too many drops for the time period.

My Father in Heaven
One of the many reasons newer generations get shyt on. Don't know how to appreciate or take shyt for what it was when it was around. Nobody existed at the position that was faster than WRs & RBs before him with that arm and if it wasn't for Lamar it'd still be like that today.

I don't think Lamar's arm is as strong but he's just the better player. But he doesn't make it and the game doesn't make changes for him without Vick or guys like Cam.

Somebody said something about Lamar's touch. While obviously there's not more than 1, maybe 2 players max you'd take over him, he does not have elite touch. He's still not as natural a thrower as Mahomes, he's a bit below Allen too. I can't say Daniels is a better thrower yet but he's got the better release. And when Love's not fading off his back foot his touch and placement is fukking ridiculous. None are seeing prime Rodgers though
Bwahahah absolute nonsense, you don’t Watch football.

Anyway Vick wasn’t smart enough to read defenses as a passer plain and simple yall can :mjpls: all you want he had plenty of chances and never delivered being saddled with that awful coach Dan Reeves (who will be the worst hall of famer in history once he undeservedly gets in) didn’t help but Vick didn’t bother to do himself any favors he had Andy Reid and a bevy of weapons at his disposal and strung together less than 20 good games, maybe even less than 15 in Philly.

Donovan McNabb was screwed over way more than yall think Vick was
